Need a Hermit Druid for a deck. Can't remember which box or binder it's in. Tear my entire office apart looking for one copy of Hermit Druid. Find it. Put everything away. Realize I needed Deranged Druid. No idea where one is. Quit Magic. Move to woods. Befriend birds. Become that which I sought.

People are always like "What's your life total? How many cards in hand? How much are you attacking for?" Chill out, numbers never helped anything. Math ruins mystery, and we all need a little mystery in our lives.

Jiang is gonna need to do work untapping Meteorites to pay for Helix Pinnacle in my Roxanne deck, so I hope he likes cats as much as dogs I guess.

Did you know that in September of 2016, 40% of all mono-white decks logged by @edhrec.com played True Conviction? And today, it's sub-10%, not even played enough to warrant a spot on the staples list. Do you still have the true conviction to play True Conviction?

My mother-in-law bought me four boxes of Count Chocula for my birthday three weeks ago because I once told her, ten years ago, that I liked it but could never find it when I wanted it. It was very funny. But now I'm halfway through the supply. It's not funny anymore. It has become very serious.

Now that entertaining parent/in-laws is over, it's a "sort cards by making a bunch of piles on the floor so I can't give up halfway through" kind of night

As much as I love Scryfall and use it every day (and I do), what I really need is a searchable MTG database that accepts queries like "that one goblin with the thing" or "what's that one legend with the hat"

One of my favorite weekly duties has become creating these "then and now" infographics for the EDHREC newsletter. Working on Omnath, Locus of Rage for Monday's, so if you want to read my ramblings about it, go sign up for the newsletter. Omnath in 2016 had around 400 decks, by the way.

You're allowed to not like things, but saying "It's not for me" or "I don't care for it" instead of "It's bad" or "It sucks" goes a long way toward making you sound less shitty when it comes to interacting with the world.

Someone help me pick a new mono-red commander for Powerbalance out of the five pictures below. Gotta be one of these, otherwise I'll end up just playing one of the usual mono-red commanders I always play. The best argument wins a prize.

Around once a week I realize I don't own a Scroll Rack to go with my favorite card of all time Powerbalance, think "I need to get a Scroll Rack to go with Powerbalance" then forget to get a Scroll Rack. My Powerbalance is sad.

One of my favorite decks from back in time was a Maga, Traitor to Mortals creatureless deck I no longer play for obvious reasons - I did not even know this spider eater existed...hmm....HMMM...

It's wild that this book exists, but it's even more wild that someone gifted it as a "congratulations" gift. I can only assume this was a masterclass in passive aggression circa 1981 - we can learn a lot from our elders. #antiques
