Fueling the ICE outrage is working, fanning the flames, is working. The ICE brand must continue to become more and more toxic, more and more despised, disgraced, shameful. We need a nationwide general strike. Washington needs to realize that we will put a squeeze on the economy until ICE is abolished and the people responsible are held to account. We need to make it clear that we will not bend the knee to authoritarianism.

I spent the day in the Dallas area. It was a very short trip. I want up there for a memorial service for my godmother. It felt awkward being an agnostic atheist in a church. I also noticed something that disturbed me during the service: I’m pretty sure that they had a Christian flag.
