There’s this mean-spirited grimdark edgelord quality to horror movies from the 2000’s that I really miss.

This literally came to me in a dream last night. Loraine was some supporting character in a blockbuster comic book movie and they took some... creative liberties.

I hate how the term “film bro” has changed from “fratguy type who has surface-level knowledge and only watches Fight Club & Tarantino” to “pretentious guy who’s seen more obscure movies than you”

in honour of the release of Coyote vs ACME and everyone remembering why they love the Looney Tunes, here's a bunch of Bugs & Daffy sketches I did in 2021.

If you complain about the same actors being in everything, all you're doing is telling me you don't watch anything.

I love small town mystery stories but if HBO’s Lanterns is literally just gonna be True Detective/Fargo with the occasional glowing green object, set entirely on Earth, I’m gonna be really annoyed.

It’ll always annoy me that they set up a cool sequel idea at the end of Insidious 2, with Elise as a ghost helping people with her human companions, but instead they made a prequel, and took two more sequels before they embraced the fun ghost stuff.

So happy that one of my favourite Ween songs has finally been given a proper remastered release after years of it only being available in shitty leaked quality. www.youtube.com/watch?v=uqB9...

It’d be nice if they could make a cut of Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning that cuts out all the flashbacks to previous movies, could probably shave off a solid 15 mins from the runtime of an otherwise great film.

I wish they could make an adult-oriented Ben 10,000 show, for the kids who grew up with Ben 10 and are grown up now, it would go so hard.

we gotta start including the films of Radio Silence in the lists of YouTuber movies, these guys got their start on YouTube over 15 years ago and now they've got Ready or Not, Abigail, Scream 5/6 and soon The Mummy 4 in their filmography.

Characters doing something stupid is not bad writing. Characters don’t always have to think logically and objectively, they just have to do what they think makes sense to them. Bad writing is when a stupid decision feels like something that specific character wouldn’t do.

Saw the Backrooms movie, it's really great. Amazing how Kane Parsons was able to turn a creepypasta into a genuinely unnerving experience but also quite a striking contemplation on the nature and distortion of memory.

It's so stupid that Disney had "Boba Fett Neo-Western directed by James Mangold" on their plate and said "nah we're gonna make it a miniseries that's basically an ad for 5 other miniseries instead, and put an AI Luke Skywalker in for good measure".

It makes no sense to me why this Stranger Things animated spin-off looks like Arcane or Fortnite instead of emulating the style of actual 80s Saturday morning cartoons. The creators are lying when they say the aesthetic was "inspired by 80s cartoons".
