Am I on vacation or three minutes from where I usually live

I’m staying in an Airbnb while my apartment gets repaired and have somehow completely forgotten how to kill time, despite bringing all my time killing stuff along with me

I think the remediation crew is about to send in Peter Coyote to experiment on my new alien friend

my apartment is cocooned in plastic during repairs for extensive water damage

A good week of movies to distract from my apartment falling apart and turning mid-40s

The Napa Boys
Abel Ferrara’s Body Snatchers
The Myth of the American Sleepover
The End of Oak Street

Oh I see, no I’m not bothering with that silliness

I… the what? I assumed the lack of continuity was on purpose

The transfer on Prime looks stellar, though you can clearly see the balloon string in high def (which honestly makes it more charming)

I’m finally watching THE PRISONER and I think it may be the greatest television program I’ve ever seen?

Not to brag but my sister’s incredible new art book on Tolkien just beat out an HP Book on Amazon’s new releases list. Help her stay there, and get some mindblowing art for the Tolkien nerds in your life: a.co/d/0fUYIRcV

Photo of the current top list of new releases in science fiction and fantasy criticism. A SHIRE WALKING PARTY by Miriam Ellis is beating out one of Those Books

I did tracking/layout here and there, the only thing I remember clearly is a big stone table for some graphics near the end of the series

happy Vrach Frankenshteyn Day to all who celebrate

Mulder and Scully’s black oil-like funko pop eyes stare ahead before a looming Lego X-Files box, as the cigarette smoking man’s equally black-eyed funko takes a drag atop the bonus Scully’s Lab Lego set

Bested by the Glendale DMV today. Live to provide acceptable documentation for Real ID that is mysteriously different than what they list on their website another day.
