Dealing with health issues while poor sucks. I'm not recovering at all and it's concerning. I was in the hospital for 2 days and I've been unable to work for over a week now. No money means no food which might help and I can't pick up my meds. 0/10 experience

My ideal is to have a physical copy that I back up onto a server. I get the convenience of a private network media server for emulation on any compatible device and have a physical copy to play on real hardware.

Dry fried string beans! The first place I tried it was from this little place that my dad loved and it was so good I would order it every time I saw it on the menu. Only one other restaurant has come close and they shut down 20 years ago.

For me it's the NES era RPGs. Final Fantasy 1 and Dragon Quest 1/Dragon Warrior are so rough. They just hadn't figured out balancing yet so going back can be painful. I still remember trying to get out of a dungeon in FF1 and getting an encounter every 2 steps.

Magnius from Tales of Symphonia. I loathed him and his stupid fight so much. I was taking a German class back when the game came out and my rage made me write multiple assignments about how much I despise him.

The in-game model of the boss Magnus from Tales of Symphonia. He has tan skin, red hair in dreadlocks. He wears green pants, pointed metal boots, and a purple vest with no shirt to show off his chest. He looks as unpleasant as he is.

Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons is the hardest hit to the feels I've ever taken. Final Fantasy 6 got me pretty bad as a kid, but not to the same level.

Did a little experiment with mixing my main paint colors on the page. I think it turned out nice, though the colors are really hard to photograph.

From Resident Email 2 on the PS1. The horrible breathing noises the licker makes in the intro cutscene. The dead silence and footsteps right before you trigger it also gets me.

Trying to learn HTML with freecodecamp. One of the projects is very, very hard for me so I dropped it for months. Came back, still have the exact same issue and may have to redo the whole thing to try to learn what I'm doing wrong

Decided to play Devil May Cry 1. I am better at the game but that spider boss is still rough. I had it down to a sliver of health and then I got stuck on a pillar and died. The architecture is the real enemy in that fight. 3+ deaths to getting stuck or camera changes.

SNES, with good old Mario Paint! I broke our NES as a 2yo by deciding it was a bank and needed pennies put in it. So while we had plenty of games, I didn't play anything until I could be trusted not to break the console again.

Turn based, but with a qualification. My favorite battle systems are from Undertale and Baten Kaitos. The bullet hell dodging was a lot of fun and the strategy for Baten Kaitos was a blast for me.

For me? Tie between Final Fantasy 9 and Persona 5. The boss themes in FF9 are still some of my favorites while I spent a lot of time in Persona dragging out battles just to listen to the music.

I think it's probably Breath of the Wild. I got everything aside from all the Korok seeds in both regular and Master Mode. I think it was well over 300 hours. I also played FF12 for over 200 hours because the combat was fun.

So long as it's fun, I'm going to at least put a few hours in. I wasted so much time catching all the fish in the Majora's Mask remake. Oh, and can't forget Triple Triad and Tetra Master from FF8+9. I didn't know you could do anything with the stuff, I just wanted to play them as a kid

I think No More Heroes could be interesting as a TV show. So long as they commit to the humor, a really striking stylization, and keep the violent kills; it could really work. The story of the game would be pretty easy to translate and you could keep a lot of what's good about the games.

Things I hope to see: -Better battery life -Easier ways to share clips or record gameplay -Less joycon drift -Better comfort when playing in handheld, the flat joycons are harder to hold securely

2nd, backwards compatibility is great! If you don't have a switch, you can buy one console and play a big library. You can keep your library as well. I do hope they do something about how saves work since right now it's very hard to keep your saves between consoles.

No idea if I want the Switch 2 yet, since I buy consoles based on games. However, it does still let me play in handheld mode which is my preference. Some thoughts: 1st, getting rid of the rail system for joycons is good since my OLED feels very fragile at the rails.

Decided to watch Dandadan. It's really, really good. The characters are charming and the animation is gorgeous. Episode 7 broke my heart. I felt so sorry for that yokai and her daughter. The kids all felt like real kids too, exactly how I expect kids that age to act.

It's a little early for me to be excited. I want to see the actual specs and games before I get excited. As far as release, it may come out this year, but only very late. I've seen people say March and that is far too short of a release window for a new console.

This is such a big genre, but I'm going with Shadow of the Colossus. It's such a good game and that storytelling is top-notch. It's definitely the best argument for games as art since I don't think you could get the same impact in any other medium.

Yami from Okami. It used absolutely everything you learn through the game and has so many great story moments. Undertale has amazing boss fights for every path too. Final Fantasy 6 also has an amazing final boss, definitely blew my mind the first time I reached him.

Gameplay is big no matter the genre. Everything from text adventure to shooters and sims need controls that feel good to keep players. The controls need to make sense and be satisfying or the game will be dropped. Story is next after that for me
