iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

Yep, I'll be there all of PAX and I'll be around on the Thursday as well.

Very excited to finally attend one of these.

I thought it was a Journey homage but thought I was reading too much into it. Wonderful implementation. Didn't know that The Gardens Between was an influence as well.

I agree with the sentiment. This was unquestionably a puff piece. I just wish this was a consistent accountability mindset towards all journalist publications (not just the non-gaming ones) and their attitudes towards all gaming companies, not just the punching-bag one.

Locked down the CONTINUE? magazine launch tickets, now just waiting on Making of Dredge, and Parallels, and then I'll be sorted for MIGW.

Missed out every year for the past 4 years. Can not afford to miss the October release.

Hey @jamwa.bsky.social you interested in being part of a DS/3DS panel for PAX Aus this year?

NickName @nickname183.bsky.social · 27/05/2026

Hey @geeofdee.bsky.social, are you interested in talking about the DS & 3DS for a panel?

Finally got the Gold Wristband in #ForzaHorizon6 and managed to do so without completing any non-qualifier campaign races or accessing any rewards. It was quite a grind and I had to rely on Horizon Promo to get me just enough points. Overall, I still prefer Horizon 3 but damn it's close.

Thank you for acknowledging how great the Limitless TV show is. Such a shame how its been forgotten over time. Need more people to talk to about it lol

NickName @nickname183.bsky.social · 16/05/2026

Doing a brief #PAXAUS callout. If you love talking about the DS & 3DS and are interested in being part of a panel, let me know.

The NZ Game Awards being called the Pavs and the major prize being called Slice of Heaven is so ludicrously patriotic and hilarious at the same time. Sorry you guys didn't win but I hope you have an amazing launch upon release

Mixtape is 0/10 because the game didn't end with the teens singing and dancing to Nutbush City Limits. Like what's the point otherwise?

For Americans, the equivalent would probably be MTV's 120 Minutes, but if MTV was government funded public television.

I used to love the ABC Shop. Frequently went to the Penrith and QBD ones and bought the Doctor Who soundtracks when I could.

What are your thoughts on Dirt 4 and Showdown?

NickName @nickname183.bsky.social · 07/05/2026

Star Fox thoughts: - Hate the character designs - It's another version of Star Fox but if they commit to actually making a sequel sometime this decade, and not just another ANOTHER version of Star Fox, then I don't mind it - The plushies look kinda cute - Respectable price point

ALT: GAMES was so wonderful and emphasised that games are beautiful! I am so honoured and humbled that this lil green fest can help so many in the community and elevate games culturally. I loved working with so many games legends and the Powerhouse team. I can’t wait for next year!

I actually really enjoy trying to make Miis without using the face paint feature, and the dynamics and scenarios that have occurred are very engaging (even if I've reached the point that they've started to become a bit repetitive)

Another ALT Games has come to an end. Very excited to break it all down in the coming days. Right now though, gonna crash then have a night of Tomodachi Life ahead of me. Look forward to next year's event.

NickName @nickname183.bsky.social · 18/04/2026

Amazed by how big ALT Games has grown compared to last year. Bigger space, more games and even bigger queues. Only managed to really explore half of the main hall today, so have quite an endeavour ahead of me tomorrow. @chloeappleby.bsky.social and the entire Powerhouse team did a phenomenal job.

I will never understand how people can just play one game and that's it. I get having a niche, but whether it's FIFA, Fortnite, Forza, GTA V, Call of Duty etc., how don't you get bored?? There are so many interesting gaming experiences out there, both past and present that are just ignored.

NickName @nickname183.bsky.social · 28/03/2026

Seriously, can Sony just hurry up and add cloud streaming to the Portal in Australia pls? I'm not paying $1000 just to play 10 PS5 games

Haha that's fair. Can I still attend the sessions even if I'm not a game dev or do you recommend leaving them for devs?

A very entertaining first half. When rugby league is as exciting as this, it reminds me why it is one of the best sports in the world. Hope the second half also delivers. Plus another intriguing matchup still to follow

The still only time that Xbox really thrived

Peter Moore - After helping launch the Dreamcast, he joined Xbox in Jan 2003. He was there for Halo 2 on Xbox, and the launch of Xbox 360 in 2005. He left in 2007, but Xbox coasted on the good will he helped create for the rest of the generation. Before Kinect and Xbox One snuffed it out. Phil Spencer was never able to return Xbox to its glory days under Moore.

What's so dumb about the Bluepoint closure is their entire shtick was stability. Competently remaking games people love is the exact low-risk, high-reward move that suits should love, and yet they're so stupid that in The Quest For More Money they pulled the floor out from under Bluepoint anyway

It's better? I guess. Didn't piss me off nearly as much but I do still have grievances. Like why is Mario Kart 64 even on this list? Same goes for Donkey Kong Bananza. Also of all the Pokemon games, why Yellow? And Link's Awakening is such an odd choice (regardless of original or remake)
