Nick Mitchell Maiato @nickmitchellmaiato.bsky.social · 10/09/2026Yesterday, the rains came in Náquera. The neighbours all left their holiday homes and the cicadas all stopped rubbing their wings. Nick Mitchell Maiato @nickmitchellmaiato.bsky.social · 10/09/2026Van Morrison's great technical skill is running controlled scales with his voice. But 60 years ago, that voice would have been considered horrible by normies. It rasps, reaches for sublingual, guttural resonance, and puts vibe over melodic variety. Nick Mitchell Maiato @nickmitchellmaiato.bsky.social · 10/09/2026Country "singer-songwriters" saying AI is "just a tool" and boasting about using it to fill in the parts they can't do are maybe the most profound examples of the meaninglessness, and characteristic idiocy, of contemporary culture in existence.
