the woman formerly known as "Nintendo GameCube"

drawings of a middle aged woman with a bob cut in a loosely worn business suit, looking rather jaded. her name is akari totaka (42 years old.) there are a few comic bubbles where she talks to someone offscreen:
"want to go to karaoke after work?"
"no thanks, i'm awful at singing."
"oh, but you don't have to be good-"
"tried it before. i don't find it fun."

"did you used to be an actor or something? your face looks so familiar..."
"not to my knowledge"
"i swear i've seen your face and voice before though..."
"you must have me mistaken for someone else."

said woman noticing displays for various nintendo game sequels in public and being surprised by them. specifically they are pikmin 4, metroid prime 4 beyond and kirby air riders. the last one upsets her in particular.

she shows off a tablet with a picture of her younger self dressed in an idol costume resembling the nintendo gamecube.
"this would have been around ah... 2004, probably? most miserable i'd ever been in my entire life."
another picture has her looking distraught sitting at a table.
"c? the gamecube didn't have a c button... did it?"
"no, it was a stick... maybe you're getting it mixed up with nintendo 64?"

I will say this: Publicly and Loudly having to come out as Non-Binary Legit, It's Real, Happening has been absolutely horrible. And the right people have my back so far. Thank all of y'all and you know who you are even if you haven't reached out. You don't have to. It's scary. I have to.

I don't think I remember this episode of Scooby-Doo

Image of a parody crossover of Scooby-Doo and Lupin the Third. The image is in the style of the Scooby-Doo animated series. From left to right it depicts Lupin and Jigen hanging on a clothes line by the blue robes they are wearing while dripping wet and making a puddle on the floor. Next are Zenigata, Fred, Scooby-Doo, Daphne, Velma, and Shaggy all standing calmly and smiling at Lupin and Jigen.

My life has fallen apart before and will almost certainly fall apart again, but this is a nice break. For these past few weeks, I've genuinely felt very peaceful. Angry about EVERYTHING, of course. But I'm okay right now, and I can help people a little with what little I do have. And that's cool.

If it looks like an Amazon delivery and drives like an Amazon delivery, then it's an Amazon delivery, right? Not according to Amazon. Big companies like Amazon have built a vast network of subcontractors who deliver their packages while shielding them from accountability.

New Ghost in the Shell is very good - but I feel like occasionally -some- deviation from the source material would have been good? I know the goal is to -directly- adapt Shirow's work, word for word : But a couple minutes of silence instead of prolonged explanation would really make some scenes pop.

I'm so sick of seeing AI disclaimers like this. The solution to not having the budget for voice acting isn't to use AI, it's to not have voice acting at all! Games don't need VO to be good! By jamming in slopvoices, you're not making your game better, you're making it worse and reprehensible!

A Steam AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

AI-generated voiceovers for ingame characters. This is a indie no-budget production. Sorry :-'(
