Nick @nickjg50.bsky.social · 10/10/2026What the fuck are you expecting Colin to do? Take up arms against Israel, convene a meeting of heads of state to discuss sanctions, give Netanyahu a good spanking. He has taken a firm stance against the genocide and done what he can. Why are you having a go at him? 220
Nick @nickjg50.bsky.social · 10/10/2026What is wrong with you? What part of you thinks making toxic comments is a good idea? This motion has done nothing to help the Palestinian people, yet you are as proud of it as Chamberlain was with his agreement with Hitler. 010
Nick @nickjg50.bsky.social · 09/10/2026I feel for you. I hope you don't let it get to you. I'm trying to turn the other cheek, but it is difficult. Ultimately, I know what I stand for, and more importantly, against. 020
Nick @nickjg50.bsky.social · 09/10/2026Stopping the genocide will take unified action by Europe and the US. But neither you nor I know what it will take to make that happen. One thing that won't work is a motion that states Isael should no longer exist as a state. All your motion has done is led to condemnation and a police referral 160
Nick @nickjg50.bsky.social · 09/10/2026Stop being so fucking patronising. It's this pissy, toxic behaviour that made me leave. You have passed a motion that does nothing. You haven't stopped the genocide. You haven't saved any Palestinian lives. You just ruined the Green party, and aren't willing to admit the damage you have done. 130
Nick @nickjg50.bsky.social · 09/10/2026I am so tired of this i will explain one more time. The motion called for the eradication of Israel. Doing this was a act of such heroic stupidity and self inflicted damage that it ought to be wearing a cape. This is why I disagree with the motion. I hope this is clear for you. 000
Nick @nickjg50.bsky.social · 09/10/2026If you are a sincere person, then please tell me what has this motion done to prevent the genocide or help the Palestinian people? I think by damaging the Green Party this motion has prevented Zack being elected, and prevented a voice in parliament that would have looked to end the genocide. 200
Nick @nickjg50.bsky.social · 09/10/2026This, it's this attitude that is toxic. Also, calling out racism isn't toxic either, but advocating for the erasure of Israel is. This motion hasn't stopped the genocide. All it has done is damaged a party that opposed the genocide. It could also have stopped people voting for Zack. This motion was 000

Nick @nickjg50.bsky.social · 09/10/2026I got so much abuse on here for criticising the motion. People telling me I must be okay with the Genocide if I didn't support the motion. Nick @nickjg50.bsky.social · 09/10/2026I cancelled my membership because of this motion. I am appalled it was allowed to be voted on. I want to see an end to the genocide and I want peace and freedom for all Palestinians, but this motion will do nothing to deliver it. It has only damaged the Green Party, and I am gutted about that. 3502
Nick @nickjg50.bsky.social · 07/10/2026I know some morons will think I don't oppose get genocide, but that is wrong. I just don't see how damaging the Green party stops the genocide or helps Palestinians. 000
Nick @nickjg50.bsky.social · 07/10/2026To all the people who disagree with my position, can anyone name a tangible improvement that has occurred due to this motion passing? The Greens are condemned by allies and opponents alike, and are under police investigation. I really don't see those as positive achievements. 000
Nick @nickjg50.bsky.social · 07/10/2026My decision is based on the actions of morons. People so stupid, they think passing a motion that eradicates the state of Israel is a good idea. This doesn't help Palestinian people. The Green party has been condemned by European Green parties, and has been reported to the police. Well fucking done 200
Nick @nickjg50.bsky.social · 07/10/2026It's not about knowing their minds. They literally did that. In an election week they decided to pass a motion that has generated the worst press I have ever seen for the Green party. The motion achived nothing except to damage the party. That cannot be denied. 100
Nick @nickjg50.bsky.social · 07/10/2026No, Glyn, it's the self destructive gesture politics. Also, I'm pretty sure I know my own mind and opinions better than you, but sure, why not assume you know me better than I know myself. I'm sure that won't make you look stupid. 100
Nick @nickjg50.bsky.social · 07/10/2026I do understand, though. They will sacrifice real political power and opportunity, for gesture politics. 100
Nick @nickjg50.bsky.social · 07/10/2026The synopsis of the motion says the old borders of Palestine are to be recognised and there should be just one state, called Palestine. That means the eradication of Israel. That is why this is a stupid, antisemitic motion, and anyone voting for it is an idiot. 010

Nick @nickjg50.bsky.social · 07/10/2026No, genius, I'm not okay with genocide. Also, I'm not okay with a party that prefers gesture politics to actual politics. I want Zack to be an MP and putting pressure on the govt to stop the genocide. I want actual solutions, not a motion that literally does nothing but damage the Green party. 100
Nick @nickjg50.bsky.social · 07/10/2026No, instead they voted on a motion that calls for the eradication of the state of Israel. That's the problem, and the fact so many peole refuse to acknowledge that problem is infuriating. 110

Nick @nickjg50.bsky.social · 07/10/2026Elected. People chose performative politics over actual politics. They also chose to offer a solution that will never ever happen. Nick @nickjg50.bsky.social · 07/10/2026I cancelled my membership to the Green Party. The Zionism is racism motion was an act of stupidity. Nick @nickjg50.bsky.social · 05/10/2026I always thought states were considered as more than just the govt of a state, but looking at the definition, I think you are correct. So yes, states can be racist. 000
Nick @nickjg50.bsky.social · 05/10/2026But this motion doesn't stop the bombing, or the genocide, or the torture. It is still happening. The motion achieves nothing. Having Zack in Parliament standing up for Palestinians would achive more than this motion does, but now winning the by-election is looks more difficult. 100
Nick @nickjg50.bsky.social · 05/10/2026Are you saying you know best instead? My argument is simple. The motion is antisemitic, and it damaged the Green Party. If that is what you want, then congratulations on a fantastic achievement. Personally, I would rather discuss real solutions to end the genocide instead of gesture politics. 200
Nick @nickjg50.bsky.social · 05/10/2026I would also add that not eveyone on Israel supports what is happening or the Israeli government. Many jews have openly portested against the genocide. Nick @nickjg50.bsky.social · 05/10/2026I am stating fact. We have just passed a motion that is by definition antisemitic. We have done this a few days befire a by-election. Nick @nickjg50.bsky.social · 05/10/2026This motion achieves nothing. It does not make the lives of Palestinians better. This motion does make it harder for Zack to get elected. That is one less voice in parliament calling for an end to genocide. The reality is this is a damaging motion that calls for something that will never happen. 100
Nick @nickjg50.bsky.social · 05/10/2026I'm not denying that. But calling for the eradication of Israel is antisemitic. We have just shot ourselves in the foot days before a by-election. The people of Gaza would be better off with Zack in Parliament arguing for a ban on weapon sales, but that might not happen now. 200
Nick @nickjg50.bsky.social · 05/10/2026In order for there to be a single state, Israel must cease to exist. That is antisemitic. Regardless of the noble intentions of the motion, it is antisemic by definition. We have just damaged Zack's chances of election so we can pass a motion that does nothing except paint us as antisemitic. Why? 110
Nick @nickjg50.bsky.social · 05/10/2026No Ivor, it is antisemitic to call for the eradication of Israel. That is just a fact. I hate what is happening in Gaza and the West Bank. I despise Netenyahu. But that doesn't change the fact that calling for the eradication of Israel is antisemitic. 310
Nick @nickjg50.bsky.social · 05/10/2026Of course it is antisemitic. It calls for the creation of a single Palestinian state. Therfore, it is calling for the eradication of Israel is antisemitic. This is gesture politics at a time when we should be doing real politics and getting Zack elected, which has now become much harder. 310
Nick @nickjg50.bsky.social · 05/10/2026This is a stupid motion that achieves nothing, other than the embroil the Green Party in arguments about antisemitism.
