Xbox is going to lose a ton of sales by not releasing Gears E-Day on PS5, but you know what? I think they did the right thing. Video in the replies.

Oh wonderful, the chronically online sad sacks of shit who don’t like that Gears E-Day has a bit of diversity stuff in it have found and started dislike-bombing my review because I liked the game, and are gonna probably kill its views now. So glad I spent all that time making it.

Sooo... I'm watching the new Mike Flannagan Carrie series on Prime Video and I have a question: Are live shooter drills in US schools really like the one they showed in the episode? Like with the gunfire noises and the dude dressed up and everything?

A bit off-topic but I absolutely loved this little detail in South of Midnight. Underrated game.

This comment I just saw Reddit may actually be one of the most important little slices of truth that everyone really needs to read and just absorb fully. Remember, if you’re fighting sideways you can’t fight up.

Fun fact: I was the #1 post on r/Xbox today. *self-five*

My Spooktober begins and I’m SO amped to watch and play a whole bunch of spooky and scary shit! Got some classic horror films from my backlog lined up, some newish horror I’ve missed and brand new releases too… and then come the video games. I love Halloween time.

Still not over how good Gears E-Day looks on Xbox Series X. This reminds me of how I felt when I first saw a clip of Gears 1 running on the 360 back on the day and it blew me away. Proper showcase.

After a whole bunch of QSSR testing in Yotei now… I gotta say, very impressed with Sony for this addition out of the blue. Hope we see a lot of games get updates soon.

Seriously, this game looks DAMN good on Xbox Series X.

Been playing the Witcher 3 Remastered on Switch 2 (video coming soon) and surprised to find there’s no 60fps performance / 30fps quality modes like CP2077 on NS2. Handheld’s resolution can drop quite badly but it keeps frame-rate smooth. Some direct handheld mode captures:

Considering how good CP2077 was on NS2, been very interested to specifically test Witcher 3 Remaster on Switch 2. Reviewing now thanks to CDPR hooking me up with early access when I reached out.

I’m getting SO tired of seeing this same Ai design style over and over and over again on absolutely everything.

This kinda shit is the reason I don’t think I’ll ever truly win on YouTube. You gotta be willing to sell that soul and really lean in to hook up all those juicy views.

It's a bumper episode of Checkpoint Chat with Sandy and Matty both floored by how good Big Walk is. Matty has also loved his time with Onimusha: Way of the Sword, while Sandy has taken a look at Minishoot Adventures. Finally, Wolverine just doesn't have the sauce, does it? #gaming #podcast

It’s simply about value that gamers see themselves getting from your game. You want them to say “oh cool, I like games like that, and this one is offering a new take on X or Y (or art style, twist on genre, etc). Say “You” more in your comms. It’s who they care about. K thx bye.

Less framing like “I made this game about X and Y”, and more framing like “This game lets you be X and Y”, “Experience the chaos of managing X” or “You’ve never played a city builder quite like this” (and make sure you’re delivering on that promise.) At the end of the day,

We are all just geared to look for value relating to our own interests or desires. People don’t care about you (they likely don’t know you unless you’re Kojima) and they don’t care how long it took you (why would they). So what’s the right approach here? What THEY get. For e.g.,

This is the mistake: thinking the reader cares about you instead of subconsciously always searching for what is valuable to them. I see titles like “I quit my job to make this game” or “I spent 2 years making a game about”. Harsh reality: people don’t care (but not in a mean way)

So many indie devs who market their games on Reddit with titles like this are potential losing tons of sales (and I see so many of them). You may also know me as a games writer and reviewer, but I’ve got 24 years in branding & marketing consultation behind me. 1/

I’ve been playing around with the new Siri AI since I did the iOS 27 update (I had to put myself in the queue, took a day or so), and let me tell you… I’m starting to think its pretty damn legit. Especially with how it can work with info on your device. Very impressed so far.

Pretty bold of Konami to have the weather changed to a Silent Hill theme to promote Townfall. A bit much but I respect the hustle.

I wish I had time and energy to find every single grifter account that crapped out posts about how bad the Resident Evil movie was gonna be, so that if any of them praises it after actually seeing it they get added to a big, pretty collage of exposed grifter losers to ignore.
