I think there is a big gap between middle and the right. Hopefully Nicolai can help with this.

Perfect chance to take a step into history. The group is a mixed bag of proper full-on historians and complete novices (I'm the latter) but very much welcome to all. Come for the history, stay for the friends. #ww1 #history #friends

We're a nation of tea drinkers. I guess any time you sit down with a cuppa it will make things feel better, regardless of the surroundings, a bit more like home.

My first memory was my headmaster telling us about the Somme. He wasn't there, I assume it was an anniversary of some sort. Rabbit hole wise, I have started digging into technology of communications. This group and @alexchurchill.bsky.social helping me learn how to "do history" and my own research.

That’s a £30 billion black hole in our economy, according to the IFS. And a ‘car crash’ for our care industry & the NHS. Just for starters. On the plus side, Bromsgrove currently has hundreds of union flags flying from lampposts.

Highly recommend signing up to the @thegreatwargroup.bsky.social annual conference. My key takeaway from last year was that it's not just a conference for experts. So all are welcomed, from full time published war nerds, to wannabe nerds, to just dipping the toe in at weekends nerds. #ww1 #nerd

Submission call out: I'm looking for some pieces (a poem / short prose section) about your choice to become a vegan. It will be for Pen to Print's Showcase page in March. The theme is "Choice", so focus on that from a vegan point of view rather than just general veganism. #vegan #writing #submission

Finger shows up surprisingly often in my WIP - Vigilantes Anonymous.

Poppy had called Todd while he was on his way home from work. One of the members had been talking to the receptionist at the community centre and had informed them he was into IT. Or apparently had been referred to as a ‘full on nerd’, which he assumed was Freya’s handiwork. They had an IT problem. He had been offered up to fix the IT problem.
When he arrived he went to speak to the receptionist.
‘I hear you have an IT problem?’ he said, tapping the top of her monitor with his finger.
‘Not with that. The computer is fine,’ the receptionist said, short-spoken as ever.
‘OK. Other IT issues then?’
‘Cigarette butts.’
‘You know what IT stands for?’ he asked.
‘We have someone who smokes outside the club and constantly leaves cigarette butts on the ground. It’s disgusting.’
‘Agreed,’ he said. ‘But still not seeing the IT angle. Someone said you needed help with..’
‘The doorbell. We have a video doorbell that is in that bit to the left of the main door. I don’t know how to use the thing other than to watch live when someone presses the button. Should be some recordings on it.’

Also works well during the boggy bits where you are struggling. Cures the itch of starting something new, without veering too far from your existing story.
