Life just isn't fair. Two weeks after saying goodbye to our lovely cockapoo Stanley, we have had to have his best friend, our beautiful old tabby cat Alfie put to sleep. He had a tumour which grew suddenly after Stan died. RIP to our lovely old boy, forever in our hearts.

My heart is breaking. Two weeks, after our beautiful cockapoo Stanley was put to sleep as he was losing his battle with cancer, our lovely tabby cat Alfie is dying. He was fine, then went downhill so quickly after his best friend died. Life is shit sometimes. Our pets are part of our family.

But today we decided we cannot go on with a cockapoo- sized hole in our lives and our home. So we went to a breeder and agreed to buy thus little beauty who will join our household on 11 June. We will call him Hugo and ge is VERY cute.

The Japanese were being very cautious and would not commit to a decision without consulting Tokyo. It was night there ( we were in Paris - may be a clue😉) so they asked us to wait until morning. Head of US team said "OK guys no need to fall on your sword over this". Could have heard a pint drop.

Our dog has cancer. The specialist vet we see has prescribed drugs which have shrunk his tumours Our dog is happy. The next visit in the summer he has offered to do a CT scan for free as a research project as rhe treatment has been so successful. His fees aren't cheap but what a wonderful gesture.
