Not really 😊. But since I had the surgery, they are more controlled. 😀

Nick @nick50.bsky.social · 6h

Even more intriguing! I have never lived in Wales. The nearest age 0 to 10, was 40 miles away and neither mother or father were Welsh.

Nick @nick50.bsky.social · 6h

Oh that's a very interesting read! I think I would probably need to read something in a quiet environment to get a better picture. The accent is usually fixed in the early years so although living in Kent & West London it should be across between South Worcestershire & Hampshire. A Radio reporter. 🤭

Terry is obviously one who knows but we have never had a conversation over regional accents before. I have lived in several places all have quite a distinct accent so to somebody hearing my voice for the first time is any dominant region spotted? I genuinely can't tell myself. 😊

He gets going though! A slow, gentle start & finish but he certainly sings in the middle and actually a very clever song structure.

Nick @nick50.bsky.social · 7h

Thank you, Patrick. It's the only one I have, so just as well!!😊. I am intrigued to know if any regional English accent is spotted because only a couple of people on bluesky know where I have lived. What accent comes through? - I don't know myself, call Professor Higgins!! 😀

Oldie of the day #music A new music feature: Beyond The Blue Horizon Lou Christie US #80 (1974) UK (unchart). I must have heard this song first in "Rain Man" (1988). I only knew his songs "Lightin' Strikes & I'm Gonna Make You Mine" before this. A very different sound. youtu.be/sSrYIfMMoRw?...

You are right there! She is on display now.

Nick @nick50.bsky.social · 11h

Warmed up a little now & wind dropped. 14°C, 57°F is the max for today and probably the coldest day since April.

Nick @nick50.bsky.social · 11h

The doll renovation: A blonde hair walking Sindy c1969 with bendable legs, but knees don't bend & the walking mechanism has failed. 😕 The hair is dry, trimmed at the back and she is missing some eyelashes. Wearing a generic red & white cotton mini dress, 1970s shoes & Happy Traveller Coat & camera.

One thing is for sure I'm not that good in delivering a weather update. 🤭

Nick @nick50.bsky.social · 13h

Yes, I decided after 2 years to do a voice reveal.

Nick @nick50.bsky.social · 13h

I say it's Tuesday. 🤭

Nick @nick50.bsky.social · 16h

Spot my usual error in doing these things (it's Thursday 😳🤭.) I may delete this later.

Nick @nick50.bsky.social · 18h

No ✅️. It was 19°c in the hallway, just about acceptable but my Mountain Warehouse fleece is on. It's still windy but about to attempt my usual walk as with the sun up, paths look dry. Enjoy your day, Patrick. 🧡

Nick @nick50.bsky.social · 07/10/2026

The rain has just stopped, but very strong wind gusts coming through. The windows all shut but doesn't feel cold enough still to put the heating on tonight, perhaps 5.30am tomorrow when I usually get up, it will need to be!

Nick @nick50.bsky.social · 07/10/2026

Yes the vanilla taste is quite good. 😋

So Am I. Vegan custard is fine. ✅️

Nick @nick50.bsky.social · 07/10/2026

My hearing is slightly diminished and at first I think he said 'rude word of the week'. 🤭

Nick @nick50.bsky.social · 07/10/2026

I would go with custard over cream or ice cream. ✅️

Joe, what David is saying here is that you are a 'lucky man and he is a little jealous'. 🤭

Nick @nick50.bsky.social · 07/10/2026

In my area looks like warming up again at the weekend a little with several 18°c days. Today has been roughly average temperature. We have just got used to the temperature being above average for so long.

Nick @nick50.bsky.social · 07/10/2026

Still got the rain here. It was later than forecast. 🌨

Nick @nick50.bsky.social · 07/10/2026

@pats-musings.eurosky.social Pat, I think you have been given a subtle hint for a Christmas present. I hope you know the right sizes! 😀

Nick @nick50.bsky.social · 07/10/2026

What ideas do you have for the hat this year?

100

Nick @nick50.bsky.social · 07/10/2026

A 'winter wonderland' probably would include some of the items I mentioned. Reminds me of the Toppers that we get on our post boxes at Christmas.

Nick @nick50.bsky.social · 07/10/2026

They are absolutely 💯 fantastic! ✅️

Nick @nick50.bsky.social · 07/10/2026

Does a Boxing Day hat include Holly & Ivy, fern cones, misletoe & partridge feathers?

The car boot sale is off. 😞

Nick @nick50.bsky.social · 07/10/2026

🌥☁️🌧🌨🌨🌨🌬 No car boot sale today and he wanted to buy another Sindy outfit. 😞

Nick @nick50.bsky.social · 07/10/2026

Happy Birthday @altlife.uk. Richard may you have a wonderful birthday and a few mince pies. 🎂🎈🥳🧡

Nick @nick50.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

Thank You. It was a good day. 😊

Thank You, Matt 😊

Ibuprofen day 😕. Heal quickly 🧡

Nick @nick50.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

Certainly one of my favourites from The Monkees. UK #3 (1967). It makes it third 3rd highest chart placed Monkees hit after "I'm a Believer" & "Alternate Title". "Daydream Believer" spent 17 weeks on the chart but highest chart position was 5.

Nick @nick50.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

Is this for real? Must be American if it is. 😊

Nick @nick50.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

Thank You, Rob. I hope your interaction with the world has been better today because none of us want you to hide away too long. 🧡🫂

Nick @nick50.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

Thank you Martyn. It has been a lovely day. 🧡

Nick @nick50.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

Thank you, Joe. OMG is correct at 60! 😨 I was invisible as a gay man at 30, so I would probably be treating myself to a singular cupcake in another world, - but thankfully this world is a bit kinder. It has been a beautiful sunny, just right and been treated to a meal out & hubby in nice mood. 😁🧡

Nick @nick50.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

I'm certainly not complaining about the weather today. 24°c, 75°f, calm with bright unbroken sunshine & possibly the warmest 05/10 in my experience. The weather does turn midweek and it could be a shock to the system & trigger the boiler. 😊

Nick @nick50.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

Thank you. I am having an enjoyable day and bright sunshine, definitely one of the warmest birthday's that I remember. 🧡

Nick @nick50.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

I almost went for the Who but Sonny made me laugh here. A little stoned perhaps? 🤔
