Comfylux23 @nick2323.bsky.social · 16/09/2026#nowplaying Cardiacs- Big Ship ep. Don't play this enough, I was obsessed with it when it came out . One of my favourite records. 031
Comfylux23 @nick2323.bsky.social · 07/09/2026#nowplaying- Roky Erickson and the Explosives- Casting the Runes. Superb live album from gigs in 1979, storming versions of Bloody Hammer and Stand for the Fire Demon. My favourite later Roky album. 020

Comfylux23 @nick2323.bsky.social · 29/08/2026#nowplaying Here and Now- Give and Take. One of the records that opened up a whole world away from punk and into all sorts of other music, free festivals etc. RIP Keith da Missile. 160
Comfylux23 @nick2323.bsky.social · 28/08/2026RIP Keith da missile. Saw Here and Now so many times over the years, massive part of the counter culture/ free festival scene. Will be giving Give and Take a spin tonight. Really sad news. 000
Comfylux23 @nick2323.bsky.social · 20/08/2026What a night. Cardiacs at Arctangent. Unbelievable set and carrying on Tim Smith's legacy in a way I wasn't sure was possible. 060
Comfylux23 @nick2323.bsky.social · 02/08/2026Living out my Keith Floyd fantasies in Slovenia. Partner unfortunately having to play role of long suffering camera man. I think you'll understand @harrysword.bsky.social 130
Comfylux23 @nick2323.bsky.social · 20/07/2026Sad to hear about Kevin Keegan, loved watching him when I was growing up. But, more than that, loved his time at Man City, brought the club back with some of the best football we've ever played and one of my favourite City teams. #RIPKingkev 011
Comfylux23 @nick2323.bsky.social · 15/07/2026Like watching a non league side go one up against Man City in the 3rd round of the FA cup. Plucky but inevitably doomed. 000
Comfylux23 @nick2323.bsky.social · 15/07/2026Listening to Huw Stephens on 6 Music interviewing Butch Vig and thinking wish he'd talk about Killdozer for once. Lo and behold a couple of minutes of chat about them and King of Sex played on drive time national radio. Comfylux23 @nick2323.bsky.social · 12/05/2026#nowplaying Crucifix - Dehumanization. Been a thoroughly shit day. This is helping, remember this blowing my mind 40 odd years ago, still sounds fresh as fuck. 010
Comfylux23 @nick2323.bsky.social · 06/05/2026Gnod last night at Strange Brew, Bristol. Absolutely immense. 020
Comfylux23 @nick2323.bsky.social · 04/05/2026#nowplaying I've said this before but the women grunge bands piss all over the bloke bands. Babes in Toyland should have been huge. 020
Comfylux23 @nick2323.bsky.social · 01/05/2026@nportnell.bsky.social This just came up on my Facebook from a record shop in Leicestershire. They're taking the piss if you ask me. 120
Comfylux23 @nick2323.bsky.social · 28/04/2026#nowplaying. I haven't played this in decades, probably because I can remember all the songs note for note. What a great album 030
Comfylux23 @nick2323.bsky.social · 20/04/2026#nowplaying Roky Erikson and the Explosives- Casting the Runes. Fantastic live album recorded in 79, storming renditions of Bloody Hammer and Stand for the Fire Demon. Love this album 120
Comfylux23 @nick2323.bsky.social · 02/04/2026Flower and No Man in Bristol last night. Love these Shitty Futures gigs, a tenner for these bands is a ridiculous bargain. 000
Comfylux23 @nick2323.bsky.social · 28/03/2026Had a great day out on the Together March and House Against Hate sound system today-Nice nice to have some positivity in these shitty times. 020
Comfylux23 @nick2323.bsky.social · 28/03/2026RIP Ross the Boss. If there was such a thing as a guilty pleasure this album is it for me. In many ways a terrible record but I love it. 000
Comfylux23 @nick2323.bsky.social · 11/03/2026#nowplaying I've not played this for far too long- Daevid Allen's late 70s excursion to NYC. Great line up of musicians and a great record. 010
Comfylux23 @nick2323.bsky.social · 10/03/2026Went to see the newest incarnation of Cardiacs last night. Really good, if a little difficult to see them as a band, rather than the Sing to Tim 'tribute' line ups, without Tim Smith. But great setlist, really good to hear stuff of the new album as well. #cardiacs 1100
Comfylux23 @nick2323.bsky.social · 08/03/2026RIP Gabba of Chaos UK.Saw them loads, sometimes great, sometimes terrible but I kind of liked them. Saw him in Fuk a couple of years ago, still a great hardcore punk guitarist. Sad news. 011
Comfylux23 @nick2323.bsky.social · 19/02/2026Had a slow start to the year, but first gig done- Ultimate Disaster, from Richmond Virginia,in Bristol. 25 minutes, lots of songs, superior d-beat, these boys sure know their Discharge records. Good to be back out. 000

Comfylux23 @nick2323.bsky.social · 04/01/2026First book of the year finished and it's a belter. Probably missed some of the references and literary gags but made up for it by picking up the ATV, Crass and Poison Girls lines 021
Comfylux23 @nick2323.bsky.social · 02/01/2026New records evening, hope to see all these bands live this year 051
Comfylux23 @nick2323.bsky.social · 30/11/2025Last gig of the week- Industry ( Berlin) in Bristol. I like his band, though slightly staggered that they are influenced by Exit-Stance who were pretty obscure even back in the pretty obscure world of 80s anarcho- punk. Been a good week. 121
Comfylux23 @nick2323.bsky.social · 27/11/2025Found myself at a loose end last night so went to see Wiccans and Traumatizer in a tiny basement in Bristol. Traumatizer were particularly pulverizing. Next up Industry on Saturday. 010
Comfylux23 @nick2323.bsky.social · 22/11/2025Thoroughly enjoyed The Saints 73-78 in Bristol last night. I'd forgotten how many great songs they had, highlight was a storming run through of Know Your Product with full brass section. Glad I finally made my mind up to go. 030
Comfylux23 @nick2323.bsky.social · 22/10/2025@nportnell.bsky.social I think we've talked Kaleidoscope before, not sure if this will interest you, but there's an original copy of the Fairfield Parlour album in Astro Vinyl in Bristol, eye watering price, but never seen one for sale anywhere before www.facebook.com/share/r/16js...facebook.comRedirecting... 110
Comfylux23 @nick2323.bsky.social · 19/10/2025Rainy day sorting out my messy record collection, seems I have a taller collection of Nomeansno than Cardiacs. Though, had I remembered to add my copy of LSD would have been a Cardiacs victory as it's about a foot thick. 020
Comfylux23 @nick2323.bsky.social · 13/10/2025Fantastic weekend in Belgium following Dead Bob around for a couple of gigs, great mix of their stuff and a few Nomeansno classics. Great to see John Wright drumming again. 050
Comfylux23 @nick2323.bsky.social · 07/09/2025Been both excited and slightly apprehensive about new Cardiacs stuff. Happy to say both Woodeneye and Downup are belters. Still wonder what they'd sound like with Tim at the controls and on vocals though. 010
Comfylux23 @nick2323.bsky.social · 07/09/2025Found myself unexpectedly emotional watching Geraint Thomas on his last stage of his career in Cardiff today. Glad I managed to get to the Tumble to see him yesterday. 020
Comfylux23 @nick2323.bsky.social · 21/08/2025@xeaglepissx.bsky.social Hi Joe, can't seem to be able to message Wrong Speed on Facebook, but if a ticket becomes available for the weekender please can I be put on the list?. That is a ridiculous line up, even if I don't get there, I'll be happy it's happened. Good work. 010
Comfylux23 @nick2323.bsky.social · 02/08/2025hardcore punk in the sunshine at Rockaway Park at Unrest all dayer. So far Sex Germs are standing out. What a great day out. 000
