I have a Billy bookcase still in box for two years.

Is this what you're getting me for Christmas?

That's such a good looking set.

Food is Batman? That shoots down my Bruce Wayne theory.

I much prefer the psuedo-1960s of that film than the more generic modern day of the MCU. Not looking forward to the FF being folded into the main MCU.

Staying with the MCU: The Agents of SHIELD cast. Arguably, they did well with a long running series, but they deserve more.

God dammit! This week needs to be over already.

It's not good, but it is better than s1. It also leaves off in an interesting place.

The maturity/ darkness took some getting used to, but Hal and John were great together.

That's not shit-stirring. That's just fact.

Hal mixes up the rings and accidentally becomes Parallax again.

It took me a few days to hammer out my Spider-Man: Brand New Day thoughts. It's a passable film. Had fun but wasn't as pumped as I hoped. Still good times for Spidey fans. boxd.it/fMaBj7

I don't think we'll get that angle though.

Nicholas Qualls @nicholasqualls.com · 03/08/2026

I think Cyclops and Jean/Phoenix are a shoe-in for two of the three slots. My brain says Storm but my heart wants Nightcrawler. I think most would think of Xavier as leading or founding the X-Men but not as an actual X-Man himself.

New 30th anniversary Transformers Beast Wars collection. I first thought I wish they sold them individually, but I do want them all. Even though I saw OG Transformers earlier, Beast Wars is my formative anchor to the franchise. www.hasbropulse.com/product/tran...

Latest read: Hopeless Necromantic by Shiloh Briar. Necromancer can't let go of the past. Tiefling soldier struggles to fit in. And they fall for each other. It's cute. Easy read. Feels like the author smashing their D&D characters together like a kid with action figures, in a good way. #books

I've listened to Jay & Miles X-Plain the X-Men since the single-digit episode days. It's wild to see it winding down, but they picked a good arc to go out on.

Definitely recommend Lee's Green Bone Saga too. Jade City, Jade War, and Jade Legacy.

010

Nicholas Qualls @nicholasqualls.com · 07/07/2026

If anyone is looking for a good one-and-done, this is it. While there could be more works in the setting, this one story is pretty open and shut. I also recommend Lee's Green Bone Saga for any fans, which is only three main books and also excellent fantasy gangster drama.

The Last Contract of Isako by Fonda Lee (author of the Green Bone Saga) is a cool ass book. Futuristic sci-fi noir about contractors doing dirty work for the business elite. Main character accepts one last contract that puts her against a former protege. Conspiracies on top of conspiracies. #books
