These make complete sense (generating renewable energy and creating much needed shade) and are being used across France so why not here? Ludicrous not to push for these across UK

Water companies are trying to hike your water bills AGAIN. Privatisation is not affordable. Andy Burnham must block these bill hikes. Let the water companies that can't survive without hiking our bills GO BUST. Then we take them into public hands for nothing.

It is entirely unsurprising that the founder of "Labour YIMBYs", Chris Worrall, has just defected to the Conservatives. These build-everywhere fanatics are welcomed by capital in all its brutal manifestations, as they trample over democracy and ecosystems.

If you don’t think Reform are being directly aided and abetted by the British press, then ask yourself this: why has a question asked by a Reform MP at PMQs, about banning the burka, been front and centre in discussions on the BBC, LBC and Sky News for over a week?

Given the literal definition of deportation is removing a foreigner or noncitizen from the country, we - journalists, media orgs - should probably all stop referring to the ‘deportation’ of a 2 year old US citizen. It’s NOT a deportation. I’m not sure what it is. A kidnapping?

We need to boost defence spending from 2.5% to 3% of GDP. One way of paying for it would be to claw back (most of) the 4% of GDP we lost to Brexit. It would of course pay for a swathe of other things too. Goodbye all that Austerity 2.0 nonsense. But getting started MUST be the first step.

Thatcher's privatisation of energy let UK prices soar, making them the highest in Europe. By breaking up state control and prioritising market competition, she put profits over affordability, leaving consumers at the mercy of private firms, with costs rising faster than in the rest of Europe.
