The @nhs-rho.bsky.social is proud to have supported the evidence base for the National Commission into the Regulation of AI in Healthcare report, with our Chief Executive, Prof Habib Naqvi MBE, contributing as an expert member of the Commission’s Cross-Whitehall Group.

Long-standing barriers preventing Black, Asian and minority ethnic communities from accessing timely NHS dementia care and support will be examined as part of a major new review.
This action-based project will provide vital insights to help address the persistent inequalities in dementia care. By examining diagnostic delays and identifying avoidable biases in the care pathway, we can better understand where communities are being disadvantaged.

"Tackling antisemitism, Islamophobia and racism requires a clear zero-tolerance approach, underpinned by meaningful, evidence-based systemic action and a supportive environment for all staff.

We’re pleased that the government has agreed to accept the Lord Mann review recommendation that the Department of Health and Social Care and NHS organisations should adopt the Observatory’s anti-racism principles for the workforce.

This evidence-based model provides a strong foundation for healthcare organisations to take practical steps towards tackling racial inequalities experienced by staff."

Cancer knows no boundaries, but access to care should be universal and barrier-free. At the launch of the National Cancer Plan today, we focus on equity.
"Cancer touches lives indiscriminately, but the level of care people often receive is far from equitable. On World Cancer Day, we focus on closing the care gap – highlighting that every person, regardless of their background, deserves equitable access to cancer prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. Let's work together for a world where health disparities are erased, and every individual has equitable access to the care they need and deserve."
