We sued the Department of the Interior and the U.S. Forest Service last week for failing to release public records about the Trump administration’s plans to rapidly expand logging in the nation’s forests. These forests belong to all of us, not just the timber industry. More info: biodiv.us/3Fi2SpA

I invite you to track seasonal changes in plants and animals -- #phenology -- in your yard, to support science, and more importantly, because it is good FOR YOU. Excited to share my #TEDxUofA talk from last October: youtu.be/3l0fMlv2-5Q

Happy Spring Equinox! Here at NHI, our lovely manzanita is in bloom, providing a little splash of color and much-needed nourishment to the early risers of pollinators like Mason Bees and Hoverflies. Perhaps we’ll even have some Black-chinned Hummingbirds stop by for a snack!
