It would be really nice if Salt Lake City used some of the money being spent on Mendenhall's vanity projects to first fix the many streets that are the worst roads in the valley. 1300 E north of 1300 S, and 100 S near the U are absolute embarrassments. Many side streets are too.

4/ I don't disagree with the article but it's more of an essay on the value of citizen rights to bear arms. That argument is moot after the SCOTUS established the right in the Heller decision. But in practical terms, I just don't believe it to be realistic.

Yes, violent overthrow of the U.S. Government is really the only remaining option as a nation but it's implausible as Trump has solid core support of many states. Both Ceausescu and Al-Assad were brutal dictators of Romania and Syria for 25 years.
