KDE is pretty much the reason desktop linux is much more comfortable than anything else. The defaults seem like a ms windows clone, but the customization is deep. KDE cares about reasonable defaults but never acts like they know better than you about your ergonomic needs.

Finally found something i was hoping to find for a while: a half-decent reproduction of Fontworks New Cinema A, a name you might not know, but a font you saw before in a TON of Japanese games. Download here: web.archive.org/web/20160309... A bit different from the original, but similar enough

Someone needs to do a free clone of Fontworks' New Cinema AD. Intangible nerd heritage. One of those fonts nobody knows the name of, yet everyone recognizes.

The kanji in New Cinema give off just a hint of being handwritten, but do not draw too much attention to themselves on the big screen, where the typeface is traditionally used for subtitles. But sometimes, the odd word gotta be written in Latin characters. And what Latin characters! A charmingly wonky mess, cartoonesque forms threatening to close on themselves. So many video games use it! Like leaving in Japanese punctuation to tell you about the new 『KEY ITEM』 you received, is it a knowing aesthetic choice?

There's too many games that use this font I could post. Now that you know its name, you will see it everywhere. CW: Infohazard btw

Some nerd trace this and shove it on dafont please. I need it for shitposting purposes.

The cluelessness of this reminds me a lot of the NFT grift. The thing about NFTs was that it was mainly something finance bros were into, and when they were trying to worm their way into gaming, their pitches were an abyssal trench of bad ideas because they couldn't grasp why people played games.

This game never gets old. I played the 2nd installment a lot with my brother when we were teens, but the 3rd is still the one I keep going back to, as it reminds me of a better time. i finally painted up sizewell and hinkley! they're two married nuclear scientists who are consulting on the 1960s build-out of the bUnK's civilian nuclear infrastructure
