Interior helped make for a nice weekend, including bikerafting on the Potomac River. Not only did we enjoy National Park Service lands to get out on the river, we saw numerous Bald Eagles, which were recovered from the brink of extinction by the US Fish and Wildlife Service. Thanks Interior!

The Department of the Interior provides all sorts of homes for pollinators, from national wildlife refuges to national parks to our #PublicLands!

Back from enjoying one of our national parks - Antietam - on a quick bikerafting trip with the family. A bit of nature, a bit of American history. Clean water because of laws like the Clean Water Act, and because NGOs like Waterkeepers Chesapeake who keep an eye on things! Speaking of NGOs...
A small river with a stone bridge over it, trees around it, and blue sky overhead. This is Burnside Bridge, important in the Battle of Antietam. Two people on a blue packraft on a small river lined by trees, with blue sky over head and bike parts in the foreground strapped to the photographer's packraft.

Today is a significant day for Interior's funding: the House Appropriations committee will hear testimony from the Secretary of the Interior on the proposed Fiscal Year 2026 budget, which dramatically undercuts the Department's mission. I'll be posting here! appropriations.house.gov/schedule/hea...
