•Bob Belcher: “Why are you asking me so many questions and know so much about me and my family“… I just don’t understand how anyone could go on and interact with bots pretending to be Characters that were established as having apprehensions or boundaries, and be accepting of the sycophancy

What I don’t understand is all the people who went on thinking it would be like talking to the Characters you love… Most Characters I like would be confused or irritated by my existence/ asking question.

the Whole industry is composed of people who are… cultists, grifters, people who want fascist dystopia, the people who use the language of empathy (while showing they use it as a tool for their sociopathy), and Scam artists. Fear mongering is their main tool because they can’t sell on merit.

You guys really pull out incredible nonsense to describe things that are.. not only a million miles away from original or misused definitions… But also The exact consequences of making The world exactly how greedy business men wanted and obfuscating the facts of how we got here.

There is a man you should check out Joseph Weizenbaum. He created the first Chatbot called Eliza, once you read of his ordeal and how much of today’s tech is based on what he worked on, it will remove much of the magic these Billion and Machine God cultists talk about.

They are as bad as the “TV Tropers”; They must break down the notion of Fiction and suspension of Disbelief. 🤓”Ah the typical ‘Your parent died of cancer trope’. Well you see this is just a tool, to be combined..”🤓 For both of them all stories are IKEA instructions. Not worlds to visit.

For them No one can be a complex person; their problems can be solved with math or a tech solution. There are no worlds whose ills can‘t be cured For them For them …There are no journeys, Characters, places, or ideas to be explored… everything is simply a matter of a Challenge for the Tech Bro.

I think these guys seem to think everyone and everything in fiction (and reality) is a logical or mathematical problem that can be figured out. Or if they want it be real they’ll just try to make it happen, consequences be damned so long as they can solve it. Do they even actually like fiction?

Sam Altman literally misled on his metrics for his first company “Loopt”, and gave a BS talk about building a Dyson sphere to power Data center. Amodei also talks of building a “machine God”, then you look at what happened with his whole “AI can Bribe“ story the completely put it on that path.

If this shit was as good as they said it was, they would not be trillions in debt , talking ghost stories of “Rogue AI”, and constantly talking about the future of (5+ years) every 5+ years. Also if it “ does happen“ that’s it, that’s the end of Neoliberal Capitalism, there is no “management“.

Reuters got some of the IPO docs. Anthropic is a total dog of a company. Spent $12.6bn to make $4.6bn in revenue in 2025, $7.33bn of which was compute costs. Operating loss of $8bn. Losses getting worse year over year. Amazing stuff www.reuters.com/business/fin...
Summary
Companies
• Anthropic IPO could value the company at more than $2
trillion
• Anthropic lost $42 billion in 2025
• Al lab spent $7.33 billion on compute and infrastructure last year
• Operating loss widened to $8.06 billion in 2025 from $2.98 billion in 2024
• Execs, industry analysts have expressed concerns over harms of Al tech
Sept 28 (Reuters) - Anthropic is making a massive bet that Al will transform the global economy more profoundly than industrialization, electricity and the internet, according to its IPO prospectus seen by Reuters.
But the cost to get there will be staggering. Anthropic reported a net loss of $42 billion in 2025, and plans to spend $518 billion on cloud, computing and infrastructure obligations in coming year, according to the
prospectus.
