Caught up with the latest episode of season 4 and just realized there's one more episode that hasn't aired yet 😭 Season 3 has a pretty difference pacing from the first two, but not in a bad way. I have mixed feeling about some part of season 4, but OMG, that latest episode was amazing.

I’ve seen way too many ungodly videos of how people wash (or don’t wash) their rice in such an abhorrent way through angry sexy mulan man videos 😭

Started Re:Zero and blasted through 2 seasons in 3 days. This anime is so addictive giving me the same feeling as Summer Time Rendering. It’s also half horror half Shonen isekai. Well-written characters and story arcs so far. I would’ve cried a few times already if soundtracks were a tad stronger.

Finished Fore Force recently. I’ve always felt it’s a mediocre show and the final season didn’t change my opinion. If anything, it got more wacky and seems to just serve a purpose to connect the series to Soul Eater 😅

I’m tired of people pitting goat anime against one another. At a certain point it becomes pointless trying to compare which anime (or shows generally) have the best story. Unless questionable writing decisions were made, if the story is amazing, then that’s that!

I just think anime should bring back this cultural phenomenon again (anime characters dancing as a “girl group” for their op/ed). I have tried practicing this dance and it’s not for a faint of heart! 😂

I’ve come to stop saying whether a game has “soul” because I don’t know what that actually means. It just feels very amorphous and often doesn’t communicate much other than possibly hurting the devs’ feelings. Like do you mean to say they didn’t put enough love and effort into the game?

I’m not picking up Fortune’s Weave yet because the price is a little too much for me rn plus I have a long queue of games. But I still don’t know yet if I will pick it up eventually. The reason is related to the thread below because I have a feeling that this game is leaning one way very heavily.

What scene makes you emotional no matter how many times you see it? There are so many even just from this show alone, but this scene is among the top ones. I literally started tearing up trying to find a good clip for it 😭 But I don’t want to spoil it either, so you get just a pic!

Picked up and finished Berserk Boy over the weekend. Fun and brief Megaman-like game. There are some really fun fast-pace sections that I enjoyed a lot. My main gripe is sometimes you can’t tell which way is the “side” route and the shallow threshold for fall death is annoying 😮‍💨

Reminded by how much I like Team Star Grunt Battle music in Pokemon SV, one of this game’s failure is how easy those battles are, so you end up not getting to listen to this soundtrack in full (it lasts around 2.20 mins) because you finished most battles under 1 minute even with bloated animation.

I feel it's important to share this again. The internet is so hostile toward creators nowadays. I've seen people have their work stolen, and no longer feel comfortable sharing their creations. We can do better. Let's be supportive to the people that make this a better place! 💞

Monster Taming Direct this year ends up being just kinda okay for me. Some that even interest me enough are all roguelike / roguelite even though I prefer games with story and a clear ending. Will keep an eye out for them from a distance.

One of the annoying things about studying social phenomena is no matter what specific aspect you focus on, people will *always* bring up "what about xyz that could cause the same thing?", and I just need people to understand that we can't fit everything into one study and it's a "yes and" situation.

Anode Heart done! Overall, I have mixed feelings about it. The game has a lot of potentials gameplay-wise but because some basic mechanics end up holding it back not allowing it to shine as much as it could. The graphic is cute and music is good. I really enjoy the lore and the story, and...

Forgot to post my thought of A Link to the Past, so here it is! It was a fun game even though I don’t have a particularly strong feeling about it. The first 1/3rd of the game is pretty straightforward. I think of it as a tutorial part that prepares you for the kind of game it is.

Okay, it’s definitely AI-generated. And I wish there’s a way to report it. Like not even to ban AI content per se, but I expect AI-generated content to be tagged properly. There should be a bare minimum penalty for lying.
