Drunk driver involved in crash
Around 11:00 p.m. last night, the RNC responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision in the centre city area of St. John's. There were no injuries reported at the time; however both vehicles were inoperable. The 18-year-old driver of one of the vehicles had consumed alcohol and blew a warning on the roadside screening device. As a result, their driver’s license was suspended for seven days, and the vehicle was impounded.

Most fuels see another decrease
In the latest fuel price adjustments, the price of gas decreased by up to 2.8 cents per litre. On the Island, diesel increased by 1.4 cents per litre, and diesel in western Labrador decreased by 0.1 cents. Furnace oil heating fuel on the Island increased by 1.19 cents per litre and stove oil heating fuel in western Labrador decreased by 0.54 cents. A 69-year-old man is facing charges following a reported break and enter at a residence in central St. John’s on Thursday afternoon. The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary responded to a break-and-enter in progress at about 1:39 p.m. on October 1. When officers arrived, they observed signs of forced entry.
