Surprise, surprise (Not!). The UK Defence blackhole of nearly £5 Billion is almost exactly what Starmer and Reeves wanted to save by cutting disability benefits. @disrightsuk.bsky.social @mencap.org.uk

Almost £5 Billion still to be found for the UK Defence plan. Chancellor Reeves has found an extra £10 Billion but there is still a £5 Billion shortfall. A graph shows how the money has been found from Departmental Capital Budgets (Transport, Infrastructure etc) and streamlining Defence procurement.

This is Avebury a Stone Circle in Wiltshire UK. It dates to between 2850 BC and 2200 BC, making it roughly 4,500 to 5,000 years old. One of my favourite dog walks.

My Romanian rescue (Ruby) chooses our walk route every day, twice a day. This is her at a day out on a hill at the White Horse near Calne in Wiltshire. We drove there, she chose the walking route.

First they came . . . . so I wasn't bothered.

First they came for Womens Rights (Wade v Roe), but I wasn’t a woman so I wasn’t bothered.

Then they came for Immigrants, (ICE), but I wasn’t an immigrant, so I wasn’t bothered.

Then they came for the sick and disabled (MedicAid & MediCare), but I was neither sick nor disabled, so I wasn’t bothered.

Then they came for the LGBQ+ Community and Minority Groups (DEI Repealed) but I was a straight person in a major ethnic group, so I wasn’t bothered.

Then they came for Federal Employees, but I wasn’t a Federal Employee, so I wasn’t bothered.

Then they froze Federal Aid to States, but my State does not receive Federal Aid, so I wasn’t bothered.

Then they came for me, but there was no one left to defend me.

Now I’m botherd!
