These checks are vital for spotting potential health problems early, which might otherwise be missed as people with a learning disability may struggle to express pain or symptoms.'

1/8 Shocking new figures from the latest LeDeR report reveal that people with a learning disability are dying nearly 20 years younger than the general population at 62 and a half years old. 39% of these deaths were avoidable, compared to nearly 22% for the general population.
