“Feelings I should have” is a bizarre concept. How can “should” possibly be relevant? If you think it is, what you are concerned about is your ideas about what others might think about you.

He did say that Rails was perfect for agents, and getting better. Those native apps still need a server to talk to. But of course, everything is changing rapidly now, and the days of programming languages designed for human comprehension are numbered. 🤖

Actually it's a lot less necessary than you think. Did you know a third of the corn we grow becomes fuel ethanol? For in cars? If we replaced just the irrigated fuel ethanol fields with solar panels we would save 45 TIMES MORE WATER than the sum of all data center consumption annually

Good advice. Aso built into MacOS. The problem is that many people fail to use those features, and reuse the same password everywhere. Passkeys are better than passwords for numerous reasons, including removing the need to manage passwords. It’s something you have, rather than something you know.

You are clearly confused about it. Passkeys do not require the purchase of separate devices than the one you are using to access the Internet in the first place.

Brent @netmojo.ca · 11/08/2026
It’s your account, on whatever system. It’s also your password - something that many people reuse, so it risks other accounts as well. If you are using any online service, it’s on YOU, the user, to secure your information. Passkeys make that easier for YOU.

Ironic. If you stuck with passwords, that would expose your password, putting any sites you reused it with at risk of compromise as well. If you use passkeys, nothing is lost. Useless without a signature from the private key on your device.

Yeah no tech company until now has bundled an app that competes with established ones from other companies. Not that Design is anything like Figma. Paid Claude accounts have content privacy by default, encrypted transport, ephemeral compute, and no model training. Karp is clueless.

The list is probably longer for what we get from attempts to centrally plan economies. Ultimately it’s always humans making decisions. I think those with skin in the game tend to make better ones, over those who feel free to use the resources of others, with no personal consequences.
