Part 2 of this is another banger. Lark does such a good job of juggling perspectives and voices, moving between small personal moments and sweeping socioeconomic sagas, in a way that coheres so well to tell the story of a group of underdogs losing their souls. AND the women are just wonderful...

Getting to beta read Houndstooth has been a wonderful experience. I love watching Kallie spread her wings and grow as a writer even now. This, however, was the first chapter where I had almost no notes from the start. It's just so fucking good while still a wild departure. And Desiderata fucks.
