Went to a big career fair today, and there really weren't any good options- it's mostly trade-based work at these things, it seems. However, they did have a booth setup to get free headshots, so that's a big win!

The more time I've spent with people that vape, the more pissed off I get with them. Why does seemingly everyone that vapes think they can do it anywhere, anytime? Indoors, outdoors, banned- doesn't matter. GTFO of here with this flippant nonsense.

Well, today's job fair was a bit better than Wednesday's, but there weren't any solid leads. Either most companies didn't have IT teams, or they use contractors to source those roles. I dropped my resume off at a handful of booths though, so... who knows.

I just got my first paycheck from Target and the taxes were a lot lower than I was estimating. Based on these new numbers, and if I could move in with a roommate somewhere, I think I would only need to work about 45 hours a week to cover all of my expenses.

As expensive as my rent is, it would cost $5400 to buy out my lease and move early, which more than negates any potential savings I'd have from moving to a cheaper apartment rn. My lease isn't up until April, so... this is going to be hard to ride out. 😮‍💨

It's interesting to me that other countries don't seem to distinguish between jam, jelly, and preserves. There's also marmalade, but everyone seems to agree on that one. LOL I also wonder if other countries have spreads similar to apple butter, and what they call it? 🤔

Y'all I really like my job. 🥹 My coworkers and management are great. The job itself is enjoyable, and makes time go by fast. I did not expect to like working in retail, but being in the online order fulfillment team has been great! I just wish it paid more. 😮‍💨
