Obsession This is hands down one of the most disturbing movies I’ve ever seen. Michael Johnston and Inde Navarrete’s performances as Bear and Nikki respectively were both phenomenal, though. Also, because this still needs to be said: Yes, Bear is 100% the bad guy here.

Nosferatu (2024) Wouldn’t say it’s amazing, but it was a good mix of Gothic and folk horror that creates an interesting (if really disturbing) vampire story.

Now, don’t get me wrong. Despite this, I still do want people struggling with trauma to get the help they need if they’re able to and are ready for it. And again, no one should be shamed for having trauma. But it should never be used as a shield for accountability. (5/5).

Also, if you claim to be remorseful and apologetic to the people you’ve hurt but then try to badmouth them to others when they don’t forgive you or want to associate with you, that’s also shit. Whether people forgive you or not is their choice, and you’re not entitled to it. (4/5)

Yes, speaking from experience, trauma can be a lot to deal with. And it can explain some behaviors to an extent. But if you're aware of these issues and you still continue to act in ways that hurt other people and still try to point to your trauma, then to be blunt, that's just you using it (2/5)

It is NEVER wrong in any way, shape or form to have trauma related issues, especially if it comes from abuse. People should never be shamed for that. It IS wrong to use it as a shield when you’ve been caught being abusive to other people yourself, and to shame said people for leaving you. (1/5)

If there’s one comic I’d like to see a move adaptation of, it’s the Eltingville Club. If you don’t know what that is, it’s basically a satire about the worst aspects of nerd culture, and despite being made in the 90s, it feels painfully relevant.

I… I really have no words. Peter Cullen’s performance as Optimus Prime is one of my favorite voice acting performances of all time, and Optimus is one of my favorite characters because of the warmth and badassery he brought to him. RIP, and thank you, Peter Cullen.

Since my hyperfixation on it has reawakened a bit, I wanna recommend the fantasy series Deltora Quest. It’s a series that seems pretty simplistic (a quest to find some magic gemstones) but it’s got some surprising depth to it (and some genuinely scary moments) that makes it a fun read.

My favorite local coffee shop, the Coffee Pot. It’s one of my favorite places to go on a day off to get breakfast or just relax for a little bit.

Because it’s Disability Pride Month, I wanted to take a minute to write about some stuff about my autism, and while I do face struggles, I’m still damn proud to be autistic, and that’s never gonna change. ♾️

Since it’s Disability Pride Month, I wanna talk about some stuff that I experience as an autistic person.

I’ve made no secret that I am proud to be autistic. That’s never going to change. But make no mistake, it is a disability, and I do indeed face some struggles. I have trouble expressing my emotions, and sometimes reading other people’s. I have issues with hypersensitivity to my surroundings, especially if there’s a lot going on around me at once, which can lead to me feeling overwhelmed very easily at times.

I struggle with communication, mainly in finding the right words to say, and also not being able to read the room properly at times. I also have some issues with anxiety, which in turn leads to me overthinking some things, which I feel can affect my judgement at times.

One issue I struggle with that I feel has gotten a little worse over the past few years is that I often have some periods of autistic burnout, which can lead to me just feeling so damn exhausted from everything and lose my motivation for a lot of things, and it makes me want to just disassociate from them.

While admittedly this may be more of a me thing than with my autism, I also have some issues with getting motivated at times in general. There’s a lot of stuff I want to try and do (reading more books, working on me and my best friends fantasy projects, talking about things I like online, Hell, I’ve even more recently thought about doing some vlog-type videos), but because I have a hard time getting motivated, or maybe also because I can have issues with adjusting my routine at times, it leads to me getting jack all done with it.

Now, I’m not trying to speak for all autistic people when I describe some of my own struggles. Autism is a spectrum, and people experience it in different ways. But these are still issues that me and a lot of other people go through, and they can be frustrating to deal with at times.

But like I’ve said before, I’m still proud to be autistic, and I wouldn’t change it for anything. Trying to “cure” it would do nothing except rip a part of myself away from me.

While I do face struggles with autism, I’ve still managed to discover a lot of new things that fascinate me from my hyperfixations on certain topics, and I’ve also met a lot of cool people from them, as well as several other cool neurodivergent people.

And despite what people like RFK, Jackass think, it does not “destroy lives”, and we don’t need a “cure” for it, and people who do think that can go fuck themselves.

Wishing my fellow autistic/neurodivergent individuals a happy Disability Pride Month ♾️

Happy Disability Pride Month! As a guy with autism, it is very much a disability, and I do face some struggles with it. But I’ve said it before, and I’m saying it again. It’s a part of who I am, and I wouldn’t change it for anything.
