Yeah, still not celebrating a genocidal dipshit who probably couldn't even geography his ass around a pebble on the ground. Happy Indigenous Peoples Day.

Obsession This is hands down one of the most disturbing movies I’ve ever seen. Michael Johnston and Inde Navarrete’s performances as Bear and Nikki respectively were both phenomenal, though. Also, because this still needs to be said: Yes, Bear is 100% the bad guy here.

Sinners This fucking ROCKED. Great music, great usage of vampires, and Michael B. Jordan absolutely killed it. Great Southern Gothic/folk horror story.

Nosferatu (2024) Wouldn’t say it’s amazing, but it was a good mix of Gothic and folk horror that creates an interesting (if really disturbing) vampire story.

The 3 horror movies I’m watching (I got them from the library): Nosferatu (2024), Sinners, and Obsession

49 years ago to date, the Silmarillion (a sort of prequel to LOTR) was published. Is it a difficult read? Admittedly, yes. Is it worth it? Absolutely.

If there’s one comic I’d like to see a move adaptation of, it’s the Eltingville Club. If you don’t know what that is, it’s basically a satire about the worst aspects of nerd culture, and despite being made in the 90s, it feels painfully relevant.

I don’t really read a lot of memoirs, but this was a solid read/listen. Fuck Tommy Wiseau.

This might be one of the dumbest album covers I’ve ever seen. I love it 😂

I… I really have no words. Peter Cullen’s performance as Optimus Prime is one of my favorite voice acting performances of all time, and Optimus is one of my favorite characters because of the warmth and badassery he brought to him. RIP, and thank you, Peter Cullen.

So I’ve been kinda wanting to try a sort of mini blog type post wherein I talk about some media I like, and my first attempt is with my favorite BTAS episode, Feat of Clay. I don’t know how often I’ll do these, but still it was kinda fun to try lol (Also CW: mentions abuse/body horror) (1/2)

Since my hyperfixation on it has reawakened a bit, I wanna recommend the fantasy series Deltora Quest. It’s a series that seems pretty simplistic (a quest to find some magic gemstones) but it’s got some surprising depth to it (and some genuinely scary moments) that makes it a fun read.

My favorite local coffee shop, the Coffee Pot. It’s one of my favorite places to go on a day off to get breakfast or just relax for a little bit.

Some of the interior of the Coffee Pot, showing its chalkboard menu, some of its pastry display, and a bar area where they store some of their flavors for coffee. There’s also a few plants at the front of it

One of the Coffee Pot’s 2 bookcase areas, where they have a cushion chair and a table near the window and in the center. Next to this area there’s a row of booth seats.

Because it’s Disability Pride Month, I wanted to take a minute to write about some stuff about my autism, and while I do face struggles, I’m still damn proud to be autistic, and that’s never gonna change. ♾️

Since it’s Disability Pride Month, I wanna talk about some stuff that I experience as an autistic person.

I’ve made no secret that I am proud to be autistic. That’s never going to change. But make no mistake, it is a disability, and I do indeed face some struggles. I have trouble expressing my emotions, and sometimes reading other people’s. I have issues with hypersensitivity to my surroundings, especially if there’s a lot going on around me at once, which can lead to me feeling overwhelmed very easily at times.

I struggle with communication, mainly in finding the right words to say, and also not being able to read the room properly at times. I also have some issues with anxiety, which in turn leads to me overthinking some things, which I feel can affect my judgement at times.

One issue I struggle with that I feel has gotten a little worse over the past few years is that I often have some periods of autistic burnout, which can lead to me just feeling so damn exhausted from everything and lose my motivation for a lot of things, and it makes me want to just disassociate from them.

While admittedly this may be more of a me thing than with my autism, I also have some issues with getting motivated at times in general. There’s a lot of stuff I want to try and do (reading more books, working on me and my best friends fantasy projects, talking about things I like online, Hell, I’ve even more recently thought about doing some vlog-type videos), but because I have a hard time getting motivated, or maybe also because I can have issues with adjusting my routine at times, it leads to me getting jack all done with it.

Now, I’m not trying to speak for all autistic people when I describe some of my own struggles. Autism is a spectrum, and people experience it in different ways. But these are still issues that me and a lot of other people go through, and they can be frustrating to deal with at times.

But like I’ve said before, I’m still proud to be autistic, and I wouldn’t change it for anything. Trying to “cure” it would do nothing except rip a part of myself away from me.

While I do face struggles with autism, I’ve still managed to discover a lot of new things that fascinate me from my hyperfixations on certain topics, and I’ve also met a lot of cool people from them, as well as several other cool neurodivergent people.

And despite what people like RFK, Jackass think, it does not “destroy lives”, and we don’t need a “cure” for it, and people who do think that can go fuck themselves.

Wishing my fellow autistic/neurodivergent individuals a happy Disability Pride Month ♾️

Happy Disability Pride Month! As a guy with autism, it is very much a disability, and I do face some struggles with it. But I’ve said it before, and I’m saying it again. It’s a part of who I am, and I wouldn’t change it for anything.

Me making a yelling face while raising my arm in front of my PC and bookcase. I’m wearing a mushroom shirt that says “I smile cause I have no idea what I’m doing!”

There’s also a caption that says “Happy Disability Pride Month! I’m autistic and I’m damn proud of it ♾️”

(CW: Lice) So, I’ve been rewatching Codename: KND again lately, and my mom walked in on THIS scene from an episode about giant lice, and she said, and I quote “Why’d they have to make it cute?” 😂

Just letting everyone know I’m doing a little better. My social activity is still gonna be pretty limited for the time being but I am getting there 👍

Me in an alien shirt that reads “There seems to be no sign of intelligent life” while wearing a hat with a lot of colors and melty smiley faces. I’m standing in front of my houses living room bookshelf near the (very small) hall entrance, which is decorated with Christmas tree lights.

I’ve been rewatching some of Batman: TBATB recently, and I don’t know if Equinox has been in any other DC Comics media yet, but I hope he does show up again because he’s honestly one of my favorite show-original villains to come out of a DC show.

Since it's #WorldBookDay, I wanted to give a shoutout to my all time favorite book, The Hobbit. While in some ways, it's definitely a product of its time, The Hobbit still helped me get into fantasy/sci-fi literature as a whole, LOTR included, and it'll always have a special place in my heart.

Probably the Final Fantasy and Tales of series. Most of them I've never played (though I've played a little of the Tales series) but I like reading info about the characters and the different worlds each of them have when I get the chance.
