18,225 years is a pretty good run for a hedgehog I think.

I have zero doubts that Microsoft will follow Sony's lead here. Corpos HATE physical media.

Despite a report this morning, I can confirm that Obsidian is *not* in negotiations to avoid shutting down. Plenty of details are still up in the air surrounding the layoffs (picture will be clear on Monday) but Xbox is keeping Obsidian, according to people familiar with the situation.

Podcast was uploading to YouTube while I went to the movies to see Disclosure Day, for some reason it didn't finish, so I had to start over. Going to be a bit. Sorry! In other news Disclosure Day was awesome. Spielberg is the GOAT

I've seen this everywhere today and I'm GLAD. This is the truth, the energy, and some white people need to be delivering the same speeches.

I had an idea for a shirt that signifies the impact Ram prices have had on everything, and I ran the idea past @techdweeb.bsky.social He nailed it! If you want one, you can get them here ➡️ nerdnest.dashery.com

Black shirt with a white image of what looks like broken buildings, but they are in reality RAM sticks. The word Rampocalypse is underneath

I hope you're right, I should have said AAA, because indie games are doing great.

I'm mostly convinced we're heading towards a video game crash, the lines can't go up forever, and these companies can only fire so many people. Sure they can try to AI themselves out of this, but the tech isn't there, and even if it is, it's just regurgitated bullshit. People want art, not slop.

Publicly traded companies must have the line go up, if they don't have the line go up, always, forever, then they cut costs to pretend the line goes up. Epic may not be publicly traded, but Tencent is, and tencent owns a big chunk of epic.

I think this is a possibility, but why shut down the streaming service that could have been part of the genie stuff? They could have Genie, and have that send games to run directly on Stadia hardware in the cloud so people could play games they're prompting without hardware to run them.

With rumors that the re-release of End game will have a new post credit scene I was thinking. Since endgame ended with the sound of Tony building his armor. What if it shows Victor building his armor but flashing between Tony and Victor on each hammer strike.
