I made this the other night while procrastinating, mainly because I thought all the posts about the blackout were boring. It feels like there is momentum bringing people together!

for pity’s sake, I am BEGGING university leaders to stop framing this issue in terms of what this will cost the university. people dont care! EXPLAIN WHAT THIS WILL COST THE PUBLIC: closed hospitals and clinics, skipped treatments, loss of access to experimental drugs, unemployment, recession

A highly recommended read for this moment in history. I listened to the audiobook on Libby. It was only 2-hours long, but I will be purchasing a hard copy - it requires rereading with a highlighter and note-taking. Any suggestions for a private bookstore who ships that I can order it from?

Had a convo recently where the other person--an educated liberal!--was shocked to learn <2% of Americans are trans, puberty blockers are temporary & reversible, and virtually no minors get gender-affirming surgeries. The right is so, so good at inflating things into boogeymen.
