you can now also control your robots in Node.js or the CLI with LeRobot.js with the same syntax you are used to from @hf.co LeRobot in Python: npx lerobot find-port npx lerobot calibrate -h npx lerobot teleporate -h youtu.be/rBpL-2Z_OQU

enjoying the summer vacation with my family at the sea
An adult and a child sit on a concrete edge by the water, facing a marina with many sailboats docked. The adult, wearing a turquoise and blue jacket with a patterned hat, points towards the boats, while the child, dressed in a light-colored hooded jacket with star patterns, sits closely beside them. The sky is overcast, and the water is calm, reflecting the masts of the sailboats.

i love the simplicity of LeRobot from @hf.co to interact with robots, especially for beginners like me there is one very huge problem: it's written in python, but i love js introducing: LeRobot.js interact with your robot directly in the browser www.youtube.com/watch?v=H1iU...

let's watch @andorofficial.bsky.social s02e01 one year later
Masked rebel operative in tactical gear leaps over crates inside a dark industrial compound, surrounded by fiery explosions and swirling purple-red nebula waves. A glowing nebula portal and an erupting planet blaze in the background, with ‘S02E01 – One Year Later’ stenciled onto a metal wall.

new video dropping soon: replacing my job at @runpod.io with agents: can mastra.ai really do it?
YouTube thumbnail showing a bald man with glasses and a surprised expression, pointing upward with his index finger toward a flowchart labeled "janitor." The flowchart outlines four main steps: git checkout, docker validation, repair, and pull request. Supporting tasks like build image, run container, check logs, list files, read file, write file, and search are shown underneath in a section labeled "dev." Additional labels include "Tool4CE-2-Llama-3.1-8B" and "claude-3.5-sonnet," indicating AI agents used in the process. The background is black with white text, creating a clean and modern tech-focused look.

A screenshot of a chat interface titled “chat with DeepSeek-R1-Distill-Qwen-1.5B.” The user messages “hello, whats up with you?” and later asks, “how are you feeling tomorrow?” The AI assistant responds that it doesn’t have feelings, clarifying it is a virtual assistant ready to help, and includes a reasoning section about its neutral, chatbot-like nature.

wandler has an api inspired by the simplicity of the @vercel.com AI SDK and built on top of the powerful transformers.js by @hf.co, making it as straightforward as possible for devs to integrate ai into the browser. received a lot of awesome questions and feedback, thank you!

democratize ai = free + private + local + open source access to ai for everyone last thursday i introduced wandler at the DataStax Berlin AI meetup. my talk, "democratize ai with the browser," showcased how to break down the barrier between web devs and ai running in the browser with js.
A smiling, bald man named Tim Pietrusky holds a microphone and takes a selfie in front of a large group of people seated in rows. Many in the audience are smiling, waving, or giving thumbs up in a well-lit event space with chairs and an open floor area.

Made a gallery of such #SVG gradient + #filter effects blobs on @codepen.io: codepen.io/thebabydino/... Also includes an explanation of the how behind and interaction: the focal point of the `radialGradient` the blabs start from follows the cursor on hover. Different blobs for light/ dark mode. 😼
Comparative screenshot of a few of the blobs in both light and dark mode.Demo screenshot showing the info section.

Each distorted blob starts out as a circle, tightly fit inside its parent svg element (which has its viewBox set such that its 0,0 point is dead in the middle). This circle then gets a radialGradient fill. Choosing the SVG radial gradient over the CSS one because it also allows setting focal point coordinates (fx,fy) distinct from cx,cy - hover any blob to see how its focal point follows the cursor.

<radialGradient id='g' gradientUnits='objectBoundingBox' fx='.35' fy='.65'>
    <stop stop-color='var(--c0)'/>
    <stop stop-color='var(--c1)' offset='.5'/>
    <stop stop-color='rgba(from var(--c1) r g b/ 0)' offset='1'/>
</radialGradient>
The circle with the gradient is then blurred, distorted and given a grainy/ dithered look. The last two actions make use of the same concept of altering the input using noise generated by feTurbulence as a displacement map. The displacement used for distortion is relative to input size. The noise used for dithering is finer (larger baseFrequency value).

<filter id='distort' primitiveUnits='objectBoundingBox' x='-50%' y='-50%' width='200%' height='200%'>
    <feTurbulence type='fractalNoise' baseFrequency='.00713'/>
    <feDisplacementMap in='SourceGraphic' scale='.3' yChannelSelector='R'/>
</radialGradient>
<filter id='grain' x='-50%' y='-50%' width='200%' height='200%'>
    <feTurbulence type='fractalNoise' baseFrequency='7.13'/>
    <feDisplacementMap in='SourceGraphic' scale='32' yChannelSelector='R'/>
</radialGradient>

"prompt engineering" is just fancy copy-pasting at this point people tweaking prompts like they're adjusting a car mirror, thinking it'll make them drive better you’re optimizing nothing, you’re just guessing

yes totally, what works for you is fine. i tend to use dedicated github actions for this, but they are also doing the same stuff under the hood.

A Windows-style dialog box labeled “Cursor” with a red error icon. The message reads: “There was an error while Renaming: ‘tools’: Access is denied. (os error 5). Please verify there are no Cursor processes still executing.” Below are two buttons: “Retry” and “Cancel.”

me: hey cursor agent running on claude-3.7-sonnet, what's up? agent: hey, let's create a new chat app agent: let's create our own testing framework ... 1000 steps later ... agent: and this is how you would build your own browser

lfg cursor + claude-3.7-sonnet
A screenshot of a dark-themed chat interface. In the text input field, the user has typed “lfg.” Above it, a button labeled “Add context” is visible. At the bottom, the agent selection reads “Agent Ctrl+I” with the model “claude-3.7-sonnet,” and a “Send” button is on the right. A plus icon and a back arrow appear at the top of the window.

isn't this kind of alarming? is `| cat` hacked on @anthropic.com? or where does this come from #cursor? 👀
000
Tim @nerddis.co · 23/02/2025
let's jump into the actual fun here without generating a new file, i had a file called "cat" on my computer containing the same code we saw in cursor agent this file is full of hidden characters
SSUUMMMMAARRYY OOFF LLEESSSS CCOOMMMMAANNDDSS

Commands marked with may be preceded by a number N. Notes in parentheses indicate the behavior if N is given.A key preceded by a caret indicates the Ctrl key thus K is ctrlK

vibe coding in cursor and out of the sudden it tries to run git log --since="2024-03-20" --pretty=format:"%h %s" | cat to find my recent commits and ended up in a total clusterfuck called cat /l、 (゚、 。7 l、゙~ヽ じしf_, )ノ
A multi-pane terminal window. On the left, a file navigator shows directories like 'clients', 'workers', 'submodules', and files including 'readme.md' and 'server-setup.md'. In the center, a pane displays a 'cat' command with references to 'C Cat'. On the right, a help-like text discusses commands marked with * or ^, explaining that ^ indicates the Ctrl key. Sections titled MOVING and SEMANTIC COMMANDS outline navigation keys (j, k, space, etc.) and mention pressing RETURN or 'q' to exit.

    Below, another pane or window references the same text in a terminal command:
    $ git log --since='2024-03-20' --pretty-format:'%h %s' | cat
    followed by the same help content about commands, exit keys (q, Q, ZZ), and line-by-line navigation.screenshot of a command table with sections: SSUUMMMMAARRYY OOFF LLEESSSS CCOOMMMMAANNDDSS, MMOOVVIINNGG, SSEEAARRCCHHIINNGG, JJUUMMPPIINNGG, CCHHAANNGGIINNGG FFIILLEESS, MMIISSCCEELLLLAANNEEOOUUSS CCOOMMMMAANNDDSS, OOPPTTIIOONNSS, and LLIINNEE EEDDIITTIINNGG. it shows a playful list of commands and key bindings in a cat-like style.
