I think the real truth is they want to supplanted ANH so they can have their fingerprints over it all. This is especially true before they bought Fox, and they wanted to reset Star Wars ro somethjng they didn't have to share points with them on, hence why Empire and Rebels were rebranded.

It must also be remembered that Iger is the guy who looked at the greatest television murder mystery ever created, and insisted they solve the murder not even halfway through the second season (and first FULL season), snd then expected the show to continue, with no problems.

Watching The Pitt Season 1 again. Really good stuff, but I have to be honest, the whole Incel Kid story is a masterclass in ineptly handled Headline Rip writing. You can make this sort of thing work, but the way it is here, it just feels like an invitation to a huge malpractice suit.

Lowkey one of Lang's absolute best films. Crackerjack resistance thriller where it really is a community against the Nazis, and pulls no punches for its time, especially with the restored ending. Up there with the Mabuse films, and feels oddly like an inversion of M.

Watched Toby Dammit last night in light of Terrence Stamp's passing. There's a wonderful moment where one of the interviewers asks him if he believes in God, and after a great deal of very cheeky answers, he simply whispers "No", in such a way that it feels like he genuinely wishes he could.

History would probably be a lot kinder to Stan Lee if he only credited himself as Editor on most of the Marvel books he was involved with. Hell, people might argue he deserved more. But because he and the Marvel Method were tools to squeeze and undercut artists, his reputation is muddy, at best.

Jujutsu Kaisen Hidden Inventory/Premature Death screening. Surprisingly big crowd, enough to overlook how they all did that anime fangirl laughing at the sudden gore thing at a twisty death. But mostly the ending montage of the young Geto and Gojo goofing off as dumb kids really threw me.

I know I'm like 5 or 6 years behind everyone now, but it's nice getting back into games with Death Stranding, even if I get the feeling that most of the missions I'm doing so far are very well sci-fi narrativizations to hide the fact that they're essentially tutorial missions.
