@fcain.universetoday.com Saw your Leo Triplet with the S50 at the end of one of your vids so thought I'd share this one to give you an idea of the S30s capabilities as well.

Leo Triplet Some more Seestar S30 action from the dark skies of Nusa Lembongan in beautiful Indonesia 🇮🇩. The tiny aperture of the S30 isn't really suited to galaxy work but I thought I'd give it a go. 🔭 Clear skies all! #astronomy #seestarS30 #astrophotography #zwo #seestar

And I did exactly that with the Askar C2 and @altairastro.bsky.social 4nm Dual Narrowband Ha Oiii in my "Hubble-a-like" Bubble Nebula image 😀

In the top left of the first image you can see the Elephant's Trunk Nebula and there is some lovely dark nebulas in amongst this widefield. Shot from my backyard with the Samyang 135mm f/2 lens and the Touptek ATR2600C, Altair 4nm Dual Narrowband Ha Oiii 2" filter and the IDAS NBZ-II 2" Ha Oiii

Sh2-129 - Flying Bat and Squid Nebula This was one of the most difficult targets I shot last year. The faint Oiii signal in the Squid Nebula is really more suited to a mono setup and required over 20 hours of integration to really pull the details out using an OSC.🔭 #astrophotography #spacepics

Yes, well kind of, and requires a bit of scripting to do. @naztrono.my has an excellent video on how to do it. Thankfully this wasn't a mosaic just the full native FOV

Absolutely, it should be. Williamina Fleming did all the hard work with this one and discovered it photographically. She was such a pioneer and incredibly talented. Here's to all the amazing women who have advanced science and especially those who went uncredited. #astrophotography #astronomy

Veil Nebula and Pickering's Triangle When a star dies, its outer material gets thrown off and can leave behind beautiful structures in the night sky. These gases can go on to produce new stars. The beauty of rebirth. Shot from my backyard in Somerset UK Clear skies all! #astrophotography

Well, the weather here in Jakarta hasn't allowed the Seestars to produce anything yet, so here is a throwback to when I used an APS-C astronomy camera to image the moon through my 8 inch Newtonian 🔭. 126GB of data were used to make this. Clear skies all! #astrophotography #moon #space #spacepics

Thank you to all the incredible engineers and scientists @esa.int 🫡 for what has been a truly epic mission. All that amazing astrometry and spectral data helps me to colour correct and process my astro images. Clear skies and heres to the next amazing mission.

Indeed! I can't wait, the colour IMX585 has been bloody brilliant even on the 8 inch Newt, so a mono version should be epic! My only worry is it leading to wanting a mono APS-C camera, the rabbit hole deepens.....

I mean, crap, I'm on this list and I don't even drink, unless it's a Tuesday....or a Friday.....or a Sunday (when my name is Rochelle) or any other day that ends in 'y'. This may increase as I head back to the southern hemisphere with only a pair of Seestars for imaging......

Great video on this one, and, well, I've just ordered one. Been toying with the idea of going mono for a while, but the price of entry was just too high. Is this going to be another gateway drug? Has Dylan caused my family more pain, as I spiral further down the astro rabbit hole? Clear skies!
