Leo Triplet Some more Seestar S30 action from the dark skies of Nusa Lembongan in beautiful Indonesia 🇮🇩. The tiny aperture of the S30 isn't really suited to galaxy work but I thought I'd give it a go. 🔭 Clear skies all! #astronomy #seestarS30 #astrophotography #zwo #seestar

Sh2-129 - Flying Bat and Squid Nebula This was one of the most difficult targets I shot last year. The faint Oiii signal in the Squid Nebula is really more suited to a mono setup and required over 20 hours of integration to really pull the details out using an OSC.🔭 #astrophotography #spacepics

Veil Nebula and Pickering's Triangle When a star dies, its outer material gets thrown off and can leave behind beautiful structures in the night sky. These gases can go on to produce new stars. The beauty of rebirth. Shot from my backyard in Somerset UK Clear skies all! #astrophotography

Well, the weather here in Jakarta hasn't allowed the Seestars to produce anything yet, so here is a throwback to when I used an APS-C astronomy camera to image the moon through my 8 inch Newtonian 🔭. 126GB of data were used to make this. Clear skies all! #astrophotography #moon #space #spacepics

M42 - Seestar S30 testing. So what can you do with 30mm of aperture, a tiny planetary camera, all wrapped up in a tiny form factor and controlled by your phone? I wasn't expecting much from the little @zwoasi Seestar S30 but I'm actually quite impressed. 🔭 #astrophotography #space #spacepics

One from the back catalogue while I'm on my astro hiatus. 🔭 M81 and M82 - Bodes Galaxy and Cigar Galaxy. The Cigar Galaxy is particularly interesting as it's a starburst galaxy and very active. There is likely tidal interaction between these two causing this. Shot this between Jan-Feb 2024

Arp 107 - colliding galaxies. Webb + Hubble data. Processed by Алексей Кудря (Alex_A_Lex on X). 🔭 🧪
A mesmerizing cosmic collision captured by the James Webb Space Telescope. Two galaxies, one spiral and one elliptical, are locked in a gravitational dance, their shapes distorted and intertwined. The larger spiral galaxy features prominent, swirling arms, while the smaller elliptical galaxy appears more compact and spherical. The image is filled with vibrant colors, showcasing the diverse celestial elements within this galactic interaction.

Collage wth the 4 planets visible these nights, in order of distance, Mars, small, with a brownish tone., Jupiter, showing the bands, isn't a very sharp image this.time. Saturn with its ring visible in a very perpendicular position to us, and Uranus, far, a pale blue dot. Images taken from videos of 2 minutes, stacking only the best 20% in the best case this time.

Open cluster NGC 602. Processed JWST/NIRCam data by @thocarp.bsky.social www.flickr.com/photos/19746... 🔭 🧪
The image showcases NGC 602, a star cluster located in the Small Magellanic Cloud. The image, captured by the NIRCam instrument on the James Webb Space Telescope, reveals a captivating cosmic scene. The star cluster is surrounded by a vibrant nebula, filled with gas and dust that are illuminated by the intense light from the young, massive stars within the cluster. The intricate details of the nebula, including its filamentary structures and swirling patterns, are brought to life in stunning clarity. The surrounding cosmic landscape is also depicted, with distant galaxies and stars scattered across the vast expanse of space.
