When you walk into the Trader Joe’s, and they’re blasting “Punk Rock Girl” on the in-store radio… I count that as a win.

Also… tried to update my @fitbit.bsky.social last week, and it has been inoperable ever since. Apparently, it’s a line wide problem (Versa 4) that they are aware of but unable to fix. Anybody remember when things just… like… worked?

It's fun that the power cord for my laptop decided to die the night before I head to Nashville for a week long music conference. Not like I need a computer on the road or anything.

Hi. I’m Nelson Gullett. I’ve been working in Americana music radio for 25 years…at WDVX for 20. I love the guitar lick on R.E.M.’s “Seven Chinese Brothers” right before the chorus that’s straight out of the old Entertainment Tonight theme song. Introduce yourself with a small song moment you like.

It is 100 degrees outside. Still… I went out and grilled bbq pork chops for the family. The seven year old is now refusing to eat them because they are, quote: “Too juicy” and “have too much flavor.” My bad, I guess.

Handed out some Cincinnati Reds baseball cards to a few kids at a Chattanooga Lookouts game (they were in Knoxville) last night. Ten minutes later... one of the kids was opening his pack, and I heard an excited shout of, "Oh my God! A Will Benson!" You and I are the same, kid. And I am sorry.

Making a fair-or-foul call on a fly ball down the line remains a challenge for umpires — and perhaps technology, too.
