I am endlessly thankful to Just Stop Oil for taking to the streets again today But it's not easy seeing such good, generous-hearted and courageous people being handcuffed and taken away, many possibly to long jail sentences It shouldn't have to be this way

Some of the biggest marine No-Take Zones on the planet, bearing the most *phenomenal* gains for wildlife, fisherpeople and tourism, will now be wrecked by Trump, an act of mind-blowing pigheaded stupidity. If you truly care about the wellbeing of the natural world, getting political is imperative.

1/4 After the disaster of privatisation, the water sector needs a fundamental reset - not more tinkering around the edges. Yet the Government continues to muddle through regulatory reforms that ignore the root of the problem: ownership.

A tailorbird is a bird known for its remarkable ability to sew leaves together to create a nest. This process involves puncturing the edges of leaves and using plant fibers to stitch them together, creating a sturdy and camouflaged nest that protects the chicks from predators.

A group of at least 14 feral goats in Killarney National Park on Sunday. The relevant global authority, the IUCN, classes goats as among THE most ecologically devastating alien invasive species on Earth. Why are these walking strimmers still tolerated in Irish state nature reserves?

I would beg you to read the whole thread, as I think very few people have seen how fast the foundations of democracy are being torn out in the UK, and how far down the road towards authoritarianism we have already travelled. Sorry to pester you, but this could not be more important. Thanks.

Perfectly expressed.
"I was born in an Iranian prison. My parents were held in their jails. My uncles lie in their mass graves.

Nothing you can tell me about the crimes of the Iranian regime that I haven't lived in blood and bone.

That doesn't mean I want my people bombed, maimed, killed, their homes in ruins.

If your vision of liberation comes only through the destruction of innocent lives, then it's not freedom you're after"
