SDL defaults to Wayland. Firefox and Chromium do. Electron/CEF now also does (www.electronjs.org/blog/tech-ta...). Steam is still Xwayland (mostly CEF nowadays, they might update it with the SteamRT3 beta). Wine currently defaults to X11, but there's a lot of progress on the Wayland backend.
