Glad I’d already cancelled renewing my Walmart+. As a disabled, working, single mom, I rely on having things delivered. Cancelled it, my Amazon Prime & avoid Target for their leadership’s decisions. I’ll make do. And they can make do without my money.

Even tho they have 90 minutes to walk around the store to find the one extra item I need, apparently there’s no way to combine orders. No exceptions. No quality customer service.

First two times I gave up after 3 minutes of hold long for the online order dept, and then operator, that went silent at the end for no reason. Third time I pressed the option for the electronics dept and pretended I pressed the wrong button so they’d transfer me.

I’m on a budget, so no, I didn’t elect to pay for expedited delivery, the refill was expensive enough. So I try calling to explain and ask them to combine so I only have to try not to vomit myself from the smell for 1 1/2 to 3 1/2 hours.

And no, I don’t have something else I could use right now. So I went to add it to my order. It is past the modify time even though the delivery window doesn’t start for another 90 minutes. So I placed a second order.

Dear Walmart online orders, I put in a normal delivery order this morning for things I can’t get at my grocery store. An hour later, my kid puked. Like epic on two floors. Took me an hour to clean up. 30 min later, my house still smells of it. I wanted to mop but I’m all out of fluid for my wet jet

If it gives you any hope for humanity, I live in a once progressive now MAGA part of the country, and after visiting my grandmother‘s grave this summer, we walked through the Jewish part of the cemetery that dates back over 200 years, and aside from weathering all was beautifully kept.

Disabled up 1.8% over this time last year, non-disabled same as this time last year. Ridiculous considering the economic advantages of being inclusive. But hiring programs are at a halt, and the federal job probation for disabled hiring programs is 2yrs instead of 1 so more of us suffered layoffs

Not true of all demographics, the disabled workforce saw the highest rate in July that I’ve ever seen in years of monitoring. 10% compared to 4.3% for non-disabled.

This is satire, right? Autism rates are fairly consistent across the globe when you figure an access to diagnosis, and the shape of one’s genitalia has nothing to do with the outcome of the reproductive process.

I still don’t think autistic people would trust that registry. That organization has fostered many trust issues due to a long history of negative rhetoric.

Some of the best paid people here in the states only make $10K and they still get asked by corporations to do it for free “for the exposure”

What is not discussed regarding speaking engagements is how incredibly little $ disabled/neurodivergent speakers (on that topic) get (not counting Paraolympians) compared to other affinity groups. I looked at a speaker site last summer & compared costs and wanted to cry and scream at the same time.

Whatever your favorite omelette is, you can bake a bunch of small ones in muffin cups like little mini quiches and then freeze them. Depending on how hungry you are, reheat some, and if you like, cut them in half through the middle (2 shorter full circles) & put on Hawaiian rolls for mini sandwiches

I’ve seen comments like that before: I interpreted Rachel’s comment as that she’d appreciate the irony if the other poster who was cheering on deportations got deported themselves (last name Shahid likely led her to assume their family are recent immigrants and thus deportation possible).
