Neil Redfern @neilredfern.bsky.social · 27/11/2025An uncanny resemblance to the wonderful Jessie Mouthersole’s 1921 painting of Cruddy’s Crag. Appears in her 1922 book Hadrians Wall. I think it’s was Jessie’s paintings of the wall in her book that first established these iconic views. An amazing artist and archaeologist. 130
