In the New Forest every Autumn the ponies are rounded up ('drifts') to mark them. deworm them, add reflective collars, etc. This year the drifts have been delayed by equine flu. The cyclist foolishly ignored the request to wait and found himself surrounded by a load of ponies heading towards him 😆
