I just completed a study for SAJE on whether LA should try to back out of hosting the 2028 Olympics. The short answer: It could cost billions to extricate LA from its Olympic contract, but could cost even more billions to go through with it, so it's worth considering. www.saje.net/wp-content/u...

Tl;dr: If you think the main problem with NYC development is obstructionist councilmembers blocking affordable housing, vote yes; if you think it's developers running roughshod over public oversight, vote no. If you think they're both problems, this may require more than a ballot measure to solve.
