Once I was stood in line for 221B Baker Street, and an American in front of me spent like 20 minutes explaining National Lampoons to a Chinese woman. She didn't say a word, whether due to language barrier or just trying to be polite. The guy was chill but probably a bit clueless.

To give pigeons credit, they evolved to make their nests on cliffsides, where the rock base did most of the work, and the twigs acted more as a barrier to stop the eggs from rolling.

Yesterday I finished reading The Bluest Eye by Toni Morrison. I'm not sure how I feel about it, but I admire what Morrison set out to do. I also do love that it's barely 200 pages and she still fits like 5 character backstories in there #readingcommunity

In one conversation, my dad went from complaining about how how it is (20c! In October!! In the UK!!!), to complaining about how the temperature is going to drop, and how we need a really warm autumn to offset the bad winter we're due. If only those two things were related at all.
