So as it turns out, the textures are all just stored as .bmp files so I can take a good look at them pretty easily! It's an interesting style. They mostly seem to be pre-rendered with the lighting baked in but the details are fairly crisp.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land is my 5 year old son's favourite game. He's completed it multiple times and when he 100%s, he starts over. I love that his fave hero is Kirby. I love that for him.
