Both the Mavs and Stars leaving the AAC is a blow for the downtown core, and our hope is that city leaders focus on improvements around downtown that make it more appealing for existing and future residents rather than big splashy projects designed to bring in visitors from the suburbs.

Austin and Portland, OR have passed two of the most expansive zoning reforms to allow Missing Middle Housing in single-family areas. Those reforms have led to modestly more housing, and importantly, they have NOT led to higher rates of demolitions.
