Isabelle Adjani in Subway (1985) OR

Isabelle Adjani, actress and former model pictured in Luc Besson's 1985 film, Subway. She stands at the bottom of a flight of steps wearing an off the shoulder evening gown, the skirt clutched in one hand, a briefcase in the other. She has large diamond earrings and looks out of place in the setting.

Its had a couple of facelifts since this was taken, @soozuk.bsky.social but this is my favourite Azteca Stadium incarnation - 1970

Azteca Stadium, Mexico City, 1970. Brutalism in all its concrete glory.

Cat after being caught outside in that thunderstorm #notmycat She is baby.

A rather wet tortie cat lies on her back, swaddled in a towel as she is dried.

If you’re patient, the runner of the account will always reveal themselves. This is who runs mine:

Knew I forgot something... 📽️ I'll do better this year!

My 2025 in film stats from Letterboxd.com. 72 films logged, 45 reviewed and 105 hours spent watching. Most watched actor: Aubrey Plaze. Most watched director: Jean-Luc Godard. Conclusion: could do better!

Sticking with French cinema this week on #LetterboxdFriday. Two from Breillat where it feels like she's finding her voice, Ludivine Sagnier stretching a thin plot past breaking point and a Rohmer-esque short. 📽️

Here’s mine. Heck of a quartet to start the new year with. After watching them it’s very easy to believe that relationships always end in death, especially those we have with ourselves. Welcome back, despair, I’ve missed you. 📽️

My #LetterboxdFriday #LastFourWatched on #FilmSky this week sees me taking a break from French *everything* except for Julie Delpy as, unexpectedly, a French teacher in one of two pretty good coming-of-age flicks, along with a documentary about small acts of rebellion and a horror/kids tv mashup 📽️

A screenshot of my LetterBoxd app showing posters for The Bachelors, Thingu, St. Vincent and Soviet Bus Stops, all watched in the last week.

Vaguely on time this week with my #LastFourWatched for #FilmSky and #LetterboxdFriday but, no horror films from me. I felt like I needed something formulaic, predictable and comforting as the evenings get darker. Maybe next year.
