Instantly hear the screaming headless dudes. Great work.

Ne Cede Malis @necedemalis.bsky.social · 10/09/2026

Yeah - it tries to lean into military verisimilitude in a way that opens up multiple cans of worms about power armour in general! I do think if it'd been introduced as Recon armour in Heresy it would have been far better received. Especially since the first release came with those skull helms...

Completed a tester for Phobos armour. It remains an armour mark I'm not 100% sold on, but I like it more with a Mk IV helm and some camo work. Any thoughts? #40k #nerdlings #warhammer #paintingwarhammer #tabletop #wargaming #grimdark

These are awesome! I love the bit of wall + rebar sticking out on that one guy's base. Really thematic and visceral.

Some minis from the past, not posted here before. #blkout #miniatures

Four painted models, left to right:
- a large floating drone, in dull mismatched colors
- a guy with a gun, wearing a red striped hoodie and a futuristic helmet with an angular visor
- another guy in a helmet, wearing an urban camo jacket
- a dog robot

Same models, view from the left.
The third model has a broken concrete wall next to it.

My Red Corsairs Boarding Actions force is complete. This project has sat around half finished for months, while I found the right bases, so yesterday I got on with it and got the whole lot rebased. These can tie in with my Red Corsairs BFG fleet for some one-off skirmish games and boarding missions.

Kael Zoran, a Red Corsairs captain. He has a heavy fur cape draped sound his shoulders, and his red armour has several trinkets and trophies hanging from it. He has a bare head with short black hair.

Five Chaos Terminators in red and black armour.

Five Corsairs, they have been converted to minimise the amount of Chaos iconography and make them look like ragtag generic Space Marines.

Five more Marines converted in the same way for a total of two combat squads.

Although for what it's worth, I also grew up on the Deathwing stories from Space Hulk and thought they were the coolest thing ever. So who knows...

Thanks very much, that's high praise! They are Ultramarines successors for now. I've thought a few times about retconning them to Dark Angels or Raven Guard, but actually kind of like the incongruity of having them clash thematically with their XIII Legion forebears.

Finally time for a return from the Condors! Three Bleeding Spear, the shaman leading II Company's remnants, is done. I am about 85% happy with him - I tried a few new techniques, some worked, some could be better. However, he'll do for gaming for now. Thoughts? #warhammer #nerdlings #hobby #40k

Painting something completely new - Eldar! Have had these old Guardian minis for over 20 (maybe 25...) years and figured with the renewed interest in 40k they deserved a paintjob...why not? #warhammer #40k #eldar #nerdlings

Working on something a little special for the last Tactical Marine in Thunder Cadre. I wanted this guy to feel like a raw Tactical who's just seen the II Company banner lying in the dirt (yes, like that scene from Space Marine 2) and has picked it up, ready to dish out righteous vengeance(TM).

Fantastic work. The rune on the base really sells the scale of the Terminator armour.

A kitbash of various Victrix and Frostgrave kits (spot 'em!) to make a knight-captain for the Black Order. Kitbashing historicals kits these days is so much fun. Forgeworld-level detail in plastic never ceases to amaze. #nerdlings #warhammer #frostgrave #miniature
