An illustration of Roo’s Vtuber, done by ahirumamire on Skeb. He has dyed teal hair with dark brown sides, and wears glasses. He has a septum piercing and a dangly earring, and is in 3/4 view of the camera. The image is from shoulders up, and he has a cheeky expression on his face; a wink with a slight smile, and one hand is raised up to his glasses where he's adjusting them. Behind him are some cartoon stars.

Stream schedule on pause until further notice. Any streams will be when I have the energy due to my wife & I both being told we're being made redundant. If anyone knows anyone looking for a level/game designer or a software engineer let us know. We'd love to not lose the house we bought last year.

An image of a Discord post that says the following:

"An important update...

My stream schedule for the near future is going on hold, with streams only happening if I'm in the correct headspace for it on whatever day (if at all) that happens. An additional heads up that I may be even more vacant from this Discord, and in other peoples Twitch streams as a whole for a little while.

Some of you already know some of what's been going on, but for wider clarity on the above I wanted to let you all know what's happening.

A week ago Bex was made aware that she is at risk of redundancy, and today I got the same news from my employer... We are not ok.

We're in the bs stages of 'do you have any questions for us' and 'we can maybe perhaps find you another role but no guarantees lol' and being told that it's 'business as usual' for the time being, like either of us can work soundly knowing that we might both be out of a job in a month or two and may lose the house...

What little energy we had for anything is now completely shot. So if we don't respond to messages, publicly, in DM's or in group chats, please understand that we aren't intentionally ignoring anyone and no one has done anything wrong... We just aren't ok right now

Love you all"

Regarding Discord's new official partnership with "DomoAI" that puts all artists who use the platform at higher risk of theft: Report the app, tell Discord to REMOVE or ALLOW USERS OPT OUT PROTECTIONS. Report link: discord.com/discovery/ap... #noAI

Discord message screenshot with the following text: Please consider reporting this AI app that Discord is forcing into EVERY chat and server with no option to opt out.

This app will allow bad actors to enter *any* public server, or even DMs, and easily alter any artwork sent there through the AI app. Someone could ask you for commission examples just to steal your art and run it through the bot. Or someone could join your server just to poach from your art channel. Obviously these are things people could already be doing, but the bot being integrated into Discord *with no option for server owners to remove it* enables this behavior and makes it more easy than ever.

To report, go to this link and click "Report" under the 3 dots menu. A new page will open allowing you to provide detailed feedback.

I encourage you to spread to your servers as well if you care about protecting artists from AI (and you should care!) This is the only option we have to get Discord to take our concerns seriously. Even better, **consider cancelling your Nitro and citing this AI integration as the reason.**

https://discord.com/discovery/applications/1153984868804468756

If you need inspiration, this is what I wrote in a rushed lunch break submission lol:

This application threatens the security, copyright protections, and integrity of all artists and artist-centric communities on Discord.
An extremely high number of visual artists rely on Discord as a secure platform for showcasing their work, collaborating, and even securing sales. The forced implementation of this bot threatens Discord's efficacy in all of those categories. You are alienating this large group of dedicated users and forcing them to seek an alternative, secure platform, when many would stay if they simply had the ability to, at the very least, protect their messages from this bot.
This app encourages and enables art theft. The official integration of this bot makes Discord itself complicit in every instance of theft.

Screenshot from the Domo AI announcement article: What to Expect from the DomoAI Image Restyle App?
The Image Restyle app has a unique set of features that set it apart:

Artistic Transformation: Users can transform images into various styles, such as cartoon looks or American comic art.
Multiple Generations: Generate up to 4 stylized images at once for 2 credits.
Upscaling Option: Choose your favorite image and upscale it for improved quality.
User-Friendly Experience: The app is designed with simplicity in mind. Choose from random styles or customize over 18 options.

digital art illustration of a small happy brown mouse curled up asleep in the middle of a doughnut on a plate. the mouse a soft light brown colour and is smiling in their sleep, textured with soft pastel and pencil lines. their pink hands and feet are curled up close to their face and their tail wrapped around their body and above their head. the donut is iced with pink and purple icing and rainbow sprinkles. the plate is white with decorative blue lines around the rim, with leaves, flowers and a snail between the troughs of a wavy line going all the way around. the lighting is warm and coming from the right, leaving soft shadows to the left of the doughnut and the plate.
